Pipino's Cafe-Restaurant-Lounge — Restaurant in Kitzbühel

I had arrived alone for lunch and the restaurant only had 1 table occupied (in the middle of the restaurant). I had asked if I could sit by the windows to enjoy the view of the lake. I was told by the lady waitress that all tables were reserved. I accepted another table in the middle of the restaurant. I was served by a gentleman waiter and he was very patient with my orders. I had stayed to enjoy the view n when I was served my dessert, only 2 tables of the whole row of tables by the window were occupied during the time I was there. So in total only 4 tables were served including mine (2 by the window and 2 in the middle). When I left it was 315pm and restaurant closed at 4pm. So no other window tables were occupied and restaurant had basically refused my request for a window table even when it was not even busy (serving only 4 tables the whole lunch period).

Food rating : ordered the ribeye steak medium rare. It came like a country with a split line - half side medium , the other side rare inside n burnt /dry on the outside.

The sides which I had chosen roasted potatoes were nice.

Had a latte and it was ok.

Dessert was chocolate lava cake. That was nice.

But overall disappointed by the mains and the treatment by the lady waitress. Felt discriminated by her and her attitude. She was the one handling the reservations and calls to the restaurant.

Was considering bringing my family over for dinner to enjoy the view but after this horrendous treatment, wld not b recommending this...

REALLY REALLY...DONT EAT HERE...!! LIKE I SAID THE MANAGER HAS NO IDEA..READ HIS RESPONSE...THINK HES BETTER AT SELLING SOCKS THAN RUNNING A RESTUARANT..

This restaurant has changed dramatically and not in the best way. We have been going for years and now they have increased their pricing to an outrageous level. They now charge 4.5 Euro for tap water, which they call "SERVICE WATER" We questioned this on the bill and were treated to a very aggressive and argumentative response from the manager Daniel. He even lied that it stated water was chargeable on the menu....it is not. He also tried to justify that we weren't paying for water but for the service. I explained that the service would be dealt with by tipping and his increase in pricing. 35 Euro for steak with no sides included. He doesn't understand that by charging for water and upsetting customers they wont be generous in tipping. Don't think he understand the mechanics of running a restaurant's or how to politely deal customers. We wont be returning. And so...

I know it is by the lake but since we ate here on Valentine's day at 7pm so can only judge by the food. Well, it's not good news. Booked a party for 15 and informed the choice in advance. However, still had to wait ages for food to arrive; and the restaurant was not full so obviously poorly planning. About the food, our party seemed to enjoy the starters. My mushroom soup was very nice. I had a try of the beef tartare and it was decent. Main course did not live to the same standard. My friend ordered rare steak and was given medium. He was assured of a replacement which it did come 10 mins later but was badly cooked. The center was cold as if they just quickly seared a piece of meat taking from fridges. Tuna tataki was also overcooked as the cooked band was nearly the width of the raw band. This restaurant looks like an upscale place which good food is expected but it...
