Villa Lido - Pizzeria Trattoria — Restaurant in Klagenfurt

Super cute and well located restaurant - pizza was perfect, waiters were really friendly, price was legit

But I have to say one thing: There were two women sitting next to me - one ordered something sweet and the other lasagna - who kept looking over at us after we got our food. After they were almost finished, they talked about our food and I asked them what was wrong. The one with the lasagna asked me if I had ordered the same thing as her (I had ordered pizza!!) and I said no. That was somehow very strange...and when they wanted to pay, she said to the waiter that the lasagna sheets were still hard and what a cheek that was...He apologized, ofc, but then noted that she had to tell him that before eating the whole lasagna, then they would make her a new anyway. I want to mark that the cook is a person, too, that can make mistakes and it can happen that somethings not even. So PLEASE do not exaggerate just bc you freaking lasagna wasn't fully cooked - you can ask them making you a new...

Villa Lido is very nicely situated, with a large terrace directly at the Worthersee. It is one of the very few "regular" restaurants in this busy part along the water, so be aware that you will need a reservation (many days in advance) - unless you want to argue with the VERY unhospitable boss-lady at the entrance.

The food is good, but the attitude of the "greeter" woman devaluates the experience by a huge amount. The default answer is a very annoyed "no", regardless the question. First time we kindly inquired for a table (without a reservation), but instead of a polite response she rudely wanted to have us gone asap. Only after mentioning her colleague told us to come by at that time, there magically was a table available. A few days later when we asked about the options for take away pizza (which they do by the numbers), the same woman's response was so rude we just left and ordered elsewhere.

So be aware.. make a reservation (at least a week in advance) or prepare for...

Awful service! They deserve zero star. I haven’t met wieder Service in the whole Austria!! I went there to have a lunch and took a free seat (no one cared about seating guests, despite the fact I waited)

After 2 mins I was asked to move to another small table, what I did. Immediately after that another server asked me to leave the table, as soon as it was reserved a d he said “I don’t know why he asked you to seat her”.

I left the table and came back to my original place. Spent 3 more minutes - no menu, no attention.

After a lady came and she asked me to leave my table to a smaller one (the previously reserved one, where they tried to move me before….). I answered - it is reserved, I was sitting there. But that she was negotiating my comments and she just TOOK THE TABLE WHILE I WAS SITTING AND STARTED TO SEPARATE THE TABLES!!! With me seating there….

I never met such a mean and rude service… Stay away from that place. Literally my worst...
