MOUNTAIN CLUB hendl fischerei // nur im Winter geöffnet! — Restaurant in Leogang

We have experienced some attitude against us since being in Austria, but the attitude (don't like that we are English? Or our faces dont fit) from the hostesses here have been the worst so far. We had gone at 11am to book for lunch, but told it was very busy and were put on a waiting list, with recommendation to come back early or later than 1pm. We arrived at 12.30pm and told nothing was available and to come back at 1.30pm. We had been polite and accepted the disappointing result. This wouldn't have been a problem, if the group of Austrians behind us hadn't then asked for a table, they didn't have a reservation and were told they could wait in the bar and she would give them the next available table. Clearly, the hostess thought I couldn't understand German, but when she saw that I did just smiled at me with such glee that we were happy to take our business, and money, elsewhere. Honestly, I never expected this here and is the only reason I am writing...

It is one of my favourite places in the area. It is a great place to come by for a puse during your skiing day and have a nice drink and very good food. The last time I went there 3 times in one week and it was always very busy but good. If you are more than two people, you should definitely make a reservation.

Have been two days in row. First of all great view from the well designed interior and eaqually godd external terrace. Food and drinks are tasty and delicious, and served pretty much fast by very professional staff. If you are house music fan, you will like the music selection. You can go to this awsome place by ski lift directly from Leogang, so you don't have to ski to there. Prices are reasonable. It is always crowded. I reccomend you to reserve the seat day before, especially if you are going with more...
