Terrible food and bad service!

I have been to this restaurant several times before and the food was absolutely delicious and service was excellent.

However this time it was a complete disaster!

We ordered a plate for two persons and one salad and had to wait for the food for more than one hour.

Once the food finally arrived it was cold, the meat was hard and dry.

There were two bigger families in the restaurant with lots of small kids who didn’t finish their food and I’m quite sure we were simply served leftovers from other guests as I have seen waiters taking plates with leftover food back to the kitchen.

I was shocked when the plate for two persons arrived as the portion on the plate was barely enough for one person. I’ve been to this restaurant before and the plate for two was normally at least twice as full.

We talked to the waiter about the size of the portion and ordered few more cevapcici and sausages.

The staff was full of excuses - the waiter said he just started working here 5 days ago even though I saw him working at the restaurant months ago everything time I was there. The other waitress was trying blame the fault on us with absolutely no real and convincing reason.

Once the second small plate with additionally ordered food arrived it was good, the food was fresh, warm, juicy and tasty.

In the end they charged everything which is absolutely fine, but some reasonable apology to a regular guest at their restaurant would be nice.

Satisfied and happy guests return to eat a good food and get the same experience and service. With this restaurant it seems this is not the case since one can never know what to expect here.

The restaurant owner then even started arguing with us online because of the bad review we posted, trying to justify their terrible service and bad food which is totally unprofessional from them.

A professional owner would normally apologize to a guest who comes to their restaurant regularly and the problem would be solved.

Therefore we’re not coming back to this restaurant again and would absolutely not recommend it to others.

No doubt that the food is amazing with a reasonable price, but the waitress behavior was not acceptable at all. She kept flipping the menu pages while it was in my hand aggressively when she failed to explain the food as it was written in a non German or English words although she speaks German. Beim Betreten des Lokals haben wir nach einem freien Platz gefragt, wurden jedoch lediglich mit einem knappen Handzeichen an einen Tisch gewiesen – ohne Begrüßung oder freundliche Worte. Anfangs kein großes Problem, ich dachte mir, das kann ja passieren. Die Bestellung wurde zügig aufgenommen, allerdings ebenfalls eher neutral bis teilnahmslos.

Positiv zu erwähnen ist, dass die Getränke sehr schnell und das Essen bereits nach etwa 15 Minuten serviert wurden. Das Gericht war wunderschön angerichtet und sah wirklich ansprechend aus. Geschmacklich war das Fleisch für meinen persönlichen Geschmack jedoch etwas trocken und wenig gewürzt, der Salat ebenfalls dezent im Geschmack und ohne zusätzliche Gewürze auf dem Tisch. Die Pommes waren wie erwartet in Ordnung.

Während unseres Besuchs wurde jedoch leider nicht einmal nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist oder ob es uns schmeckt. Auch beim Abräumen der Teller gab es keinen Kommentar, ob uns das Essen gefallen hat. Der Preis war angemessen, aber insgesamt hat mir das gewisse Etwas gefehlt, um das Restaurant bald wieder...
