Restaurant Sonnengartl — Restaurant in Ramsau im Zillertal

In one week I went there five, maybe seven times with my wife. They were always nice. I went without my wife once, she was sick, they asked me to sit on bar, thats fine with me, restaurant is crowded, so I sit on the bar, and I was actually thankful. I was hungry, I was sick, I was sleep deprived. I ordered a “big still water”, they always ask for drinks first, restaurant owner gave me a small one, I asked if they are out of big ones, he said I should drink two, he cant change it. He said I should have asked for a big one at start. Problem is I did, I asked for big still water. Probably I talked too fast and he is not a native speaker. I am fine with a mistake, but I dont like the treatment I am getting at this point. So I said its his mistake, his face change, I can tell when someone is angry with me, so I also got angry, I came there multiple times before and never got treated like that, I said I dont want it I stormed off. Meanwhile he was actually changing from small water to big one in the system, it seems he just didnt want to do it for me, its not super hard, just a few clicks in a tablet. He came after me, I thought he was gonna apoligize, instead he asked me to pay. I just wanted to go away, I gave 10 and wanted to go, he didnt leave me he was very angrily looking for changes, he gave me the change back. This is ridicilous, he blamed me for his mistake, he asked me to pay for a water I never drinked, and never got served(I only got served the small one, didnt open it he was gonna take it away). So I have to pay 6 for nothing, but I can not pay 10...

We are on holiday in Ramsau and a local lady recommended this restaurant to us. We arrived one Tuesday evening and almost every table was booked (I think there was a carnival day or event happening) so the staff weren’t sure if they could fit 5 of us in, but they made room for us before one of the other reservations as we were early enough to finish before they arrived. The staff were really nice, and the restaurant was beautifully clean and cosy. The menu was great with lots of choices, and all of the food we ordered was excellent, tasty, well cooked and generous portions. We would definitely recommend eating here for anyone staying nearby, but do take plenty of cash, as they don’t accept card, so we had to do a dash to...

very friendly staff, nice clean place, traditional interior. The food is prepared quickly - everything is very fresh. that's where the good news ends. we were hungry so we ate everything we ordered... can't say it tasted the best. We will definitely choose another place next time. especially the pizza - my husband said it was the worst pizza he's ever had - good thing we only ordered one. the pasta was edible but nothing special. I don’t know what kind of cuisine this restaurant belongs to - rather European, definitely not...
