China Restaurant HongKong — Restaurant in Reutte

Worst experiance ever !!! Me -together with my Filipina wife -had the misfortune of coosing this place two nights ago. As someone had stated before we too were fooled by the huge menu selection. As we arrived, the restaurant was empty, 7 p.m. on a friday evening. I never have seen an Asian restaurant that daytime virtually empty. We chose 2 appetiserts and two entrees. First starter "chinese spare ribs", came straight out of the box (bought-in conveniance product, thrown into the deep frier.) It came dry and on a greasy plate :-( Next one, dumplings, these were at least eatable cos they were a frozen product just heated up. Ok never again, my wife makes better ones. Now the real blow! A noodle-and shrimps stew. I had asked the waiter what it is, if it´s a "Ramen-style noodle dish". He didn´t get my words, we could barely communicate with him. The noodles were in a sour but bland broth, all over the dish were chunks of barely cooked tomatos. We tried it, and sent it back almost untouched, it was really hideous. Then the last course arrived, beef with bamboo & mushrooms. Well this was the best dish for this evening, meat was tender but the sauce lacked flavour, I think they only used soya sauce and salt for the sauce, what a shame. The waiter came and took the dishes away and didn´t bother to ask if we liked it, cos he already knew by our faces we didn´t. I just told him we done. Then after a waiting longer than the time we waited for our food we got our bill from the (owner)? Don´t know who he was. Now my advice for you folks out there- don´t leave your money there! For the owner - take my advive and 1. fire your chef - cos the food tastes like someone without any passion who has given up! or 2. shut...

Update 07.04.2023: nach fünf Jahren mal ein Update... 😉 Essen ist nach wie vor noch sehr gut und auch die Spezialitäten sind "spezieller" als vor 5 Jahren - da gibt es keine extravaganten Sachen wie gebratene Hähnchenbeine (hatte ich mal in einem China-Restaurant in Frankfurt), aber wirklich gute, chinesische Spezialitäten. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist top, insbesondere bei den Mittagsmenüs. Personal sehr freundlich und nett. Wer mal chinesisch Essen gehen möchte, ist im China Restaurant Hong Kong sehr gut aufgehoben.

Gute und preiswerte Mittagsmenüs, aber auch die "normale" Speisekarte ist ihr Geld wert. Speisen sind ausreichend, Reis gibt es immer mehr als genug dazu. Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Etwas enttäuscht bin ich von den Spezialitäten, da hätte ich mir mehr erwartet. Also nicht mehr auf dem Teller, sondern einfach mehr anders, etwas exotischer, etwas mehr anders als eben die normalen Speisen auf der Karte. Sehr gerne bewerten wir Ihr Restaurant wie an der Eingangstür ausgeschildert... Zur aller Erst hatten wir das großartige Vergnügen, dass das Restaurant komplett menschenleer war und wir dadurch ein riesiges Angebot an einem Sitzplatz hatten, sodass wir uns gar nicht entscheiden konnten, wo wir sitzen wollen! Nachdem die Hürde allerdings geschafft war und wir einen Sitzplatz ergattern konnten, kam auch schon ein lächender Asiate um die Ecke und brachte uns die „ach so“ unübersichtlicher Speisekarte. Das reichhaltige Angebot an Speisen und Getränken beinhaltete sowohl keinen Lycheesaft als auch keine Gemüsepfanne, was den Asiaten generell für seinen typischen Speisen besonders hervorhebt von seiner Konkurrenz.
