Kröpflstüberl — Restaurant in Sankt Jakob in Haus

Guys! Last night in Tirol: Dreamt of a great schnitzel, a great beer, and a nice traditional place for our last dinner. During the day we drove by a sign for the Kroepflstueberl, and we thought that might be what we were looking for. SpoilerAlert!: It was exactly what we were looking for and more! The service was great and friendly, the food was fresh and well-prepared. The basics: we ordered a cheeseburger, a schnitzel, spinach dumplings, a chicken club sandwich, and Kaiserschmarm. The burger was big and awesome! Our 18yr old was full and happy. The chicken club with wedges was delicious, juicy. The schnitzel was freshly pounded, perfectly breaded and fried. Crispy outside, juicy inside. Golden brown. Like a food commercial. The spinach dumpling was made fresh, filled with seemingly just-picked fresh spinach leaves. The Kaiserschmarm was crispy outside and moist and fluffy inside. And the accompanying apple sauce was self-made. My highlight was the Kroeplflschnitzel, which is a fresh, not frozen cordon-bleu with mushrooms, cheese and ham and a bit of sauce. The beer was fresh and cold, the kids liked their drinks too. We didn't have room for dessert unfortunately. It seems like a family-run place, and the staff is super friendly. They gave us a round of self-made forest-berry liquer for my partner's daughter's birthday. It's not on the main street, but follow the signs. It's worth it! Summer or Winter. Note: cash only! Loved everything about this place. Such friendly people, lovely drinks and such comforting food. The portions were a little big for us though. But worth it. We sat outside so we had great views. Don’t forget to bring cash (I didn’t do my research, but the nearest atm is about a 6 min drive)....

Our visit at Kröpfelstüberl was fantastic! Absolutely delicious food, great and inviting atmosphere, and wonderful hosts. We did pre order to eat spare ribs and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. 😊 I highly recommend a visit at this lovely venue. Thanks a lot...
