Our company of 10 arrived on a busy night but they found a table for us. The first waitress couldn't speak english and they had no english menus, but shortly a different person arrived and helped with translation (I'm not sure if she even works there, but she was very helpful! Thanks!). From that point on, everyone did their best to make sure that we get exactly what we want, and were very friendly. Food was delucious and in plenty. The food was alright, no complaints but nothing I'd come back for. The prices are about average for the area. We visited this restaurant at 3pm so unfortunately they didn't serve pizza at that time which was very disappointing. I definitely expected something else from a restaurant in that busy of an area right on the promenade. Also the food choices are quite standard, nothing for picky people and definitely not a place for vegans and vegetarians. To sum it up, I expected more from...

Lokal in bester Lage, das sich auf seinen Lorbeeren ausruht und in der Zeit stehen geblieben ist.

Ich war schon öfter hier, jedoch reicht es für mehr als drei Sterne einfach nicht. Die Lokalität liegt perfekt und lädt grundsätzlich zum Verweilen ein. Mittlerweile ist das Lokal in die Jahre gekommen, und der Straßenlärm ist auch nicht angenehm. Dafür kann der Betreiber allerdings nichts. Der Blick in die Eiskarte ist auch sehr ernüchternd. Ich glaube, vor 16 Jahren gab es schon dieselben zwölf Eisbecher. Es fehlt einfach an Inspiration und dem Willen, das Lokal ins Jahr 2024 zu holen. Man hat das Gefühl, dass das Motto hier ist: „War früher so, soll auch so bleiben.“ Es ist traurig, denn man hätte hier sehr viel Potenzial. Aber solange die Touristen keine wirkliche Alternative haben, müssen sie ja kommen, ob sie wollen oder nicht.

Ich hoffe, wenn ich wieder mal vorbeikomme, dass ihr etwas an dem Gesamtkonzept geändert habt.. Neugestaltung der Eisbecher, Verwendung von saisonal verfügbarem frischem Obst, neue Eissorten und ein moderneres Denken der gesamten Gastronomie. Überseht Die Zeit nicht bevor es zu spät ist.
