Had a really nice fairly traditional meal/wine here. The only real downside (hence one star deduction) was that the waitress seemed very brusque and didn't pick up well on social cues such as if we're all still looking at the menu and discussing the dishes then we're probably not ready to order. She pressed us for our order maybe five or six times which set a poor tone. The food, however, was very good. It wasn't crowded. We went on a Friday night at 6.30pm. It's a 15 minute walk from the centre of Obertauern but that was a good way to build up an appetite. The owner offers a taxi service for those who prefer not...

Not kids friendly restaurant. We made order for around 30 euro, but there was problem when our 5 year old son want to eat his own sandwich. Not recommended.

Edit: I understand that this is the rule and I accept it, but we came late and our dinner was waiting for us in hotel so we did not want to eat. Our son was really hungry and he just want to take a bite. No problem, today we want to take a lunch so we went to the other place....

Wir hatten eine perfekte Weihnachtsfeier in der Alten Alm! Anders kann man es nicht sagen. Super Gastgeber, Grandiose Ripperl (super lecker und saftig) und das Ambiente ist wie man es sich wünscht...Hütte pur aber mit Stil.

Bei der Ankunft wurde uns sofort geholfen, weil wir mit dem Auto etwas im Schnee festsaßen. Super Service, auch bei den Kontakten für Kutschenfahrt und Schneeschuhwandern, Danke Petra!!!

Übernachtet haben wir in der Schmiedlehenalm. Die Apartments waren wirklich super. Direkt an der Piste, direkt neben dem Lift. Alles sehr ruhig zum schlafen (kann aber auch am Edelbrand gelegen haben ;-)

Wir haben auch eine Edelbrandverkostung gebucht. Das kann man echt nur empfehlen! Müsst ihr unbedingt machen. Niki, der Hausherr, ist da mit Feuer und Flame im Thema. Sehr interessant, überraschend und Lecker (auch für nicht Edelbrandtrinker spannend). Leider mussten wir eine etwas verkürzte Variante machen, weil wir schon einen Termin zu einer Kutschenfahrt hatten. Also hier Zeit einplanen. Fragt einfach ;-) Deshalb das Versprechen, wir machen das wieder....
