Café City-X — Restaurant in Vienna

We are staying in an Airbnb just a few meters from this local hangout. This is not a tourist spot nor do they attempt to be. They have a fairly limited menu written in German but a very friendly staff who are not fluent but very helpful. Had dinner there and it was outstanding. Cooked pork with dumplings and sauerkraut was a only €10.90 and a huge portion at that. Don’t expect a fancy atmosphere filled place and is clearly a local place but after a few visits we felt like we have been coming for years. Very reasonably priced and comfort. We look forward to stopping by for a drink and a bite. BTW they bake the pretzels to order so they are served hot and fresh....

I ordered a breakfast of 2 eggs and ham. The eggs came fried together with the ham, with a bread roll on the side. The eggs were perfect, one yolk was delicious and runny, and the other was perfectly jammy. The bread was soft, pillowy and warm on the outside, and had a perfect golden crispy crust. Es ist ein Geben und ein Nehmen. Man hilft und unterstützt sich hier gegenseitig. Wie man in den Wald hineinruft... heißt das alte Sprichwort, und auch als Gast sollte man sich wie auch überall sonst dementsprechend auch so verhalten wie man selbst auch behandelt werden möchte, wenn man schon König sein möchte sollte man auch adäquat vornehmen, Kleinigkeiten wie zb Grüßen sind oftmals schon ein Anfang. Wir Gäste haben nicht nur Rechte sondern egal wo an welchem Ort auch Pflichten und dazu gehört wie beschrieben das oben bereits erwähnte. Und hier funktioniert das alles. Gutes Essen, der Schmäh rennt und eine tolle Nachbarschaft. Hier kann man alles haben, es ist wie erwähnt ein Miteinander, ein geben und nehmen. Und das sollte überall so sein, Standart, denn nur zusammen funktioniert es, die Welt ist bescheiden genug also lasst es uns hier alle miteinander schön haben und den Alltag entfliehen. Bleibt...
