Gasthaus Peschta is an amazing typical Viennese restaurant. After 12 years spent in Austria, you really get to know if it is the real deal or not. This is definitely the real deal! The staff is extremely helpful and forthcoming, they are quick and always have a good recommendation. We had a very generous portion of Schnitzel and Krenfleisch (pig belly with horseradish) which were both very very well done. There are dishes with fish and vegetarian options as well. The draft beer (Gösser) was very good, and, most important, poured in the correct way so you can enjoy the best taste. To that we added an apple juice with sparkling water. The ambiance of the place is very typical to an Austrian traditional restaurant with a nice indoor area and a very nice garden. The owner of the place was there, very helpful and welcoming!

They only accept cash which is very normal on Austrian establishments.

We will definitely go back here again.

Wir haben das Restaurant durch Zufall entdeckt.Hier stimmt einfach alles und wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt.Das Essen war lecker und reichlich.Der Service,was soll ich sagen.Wir sind schon viel herum gekommen,aber so zuvorkommend, freundlich und aufmerksam wie dort,haben wir es selten erlebt.Das Essen kam zügig und wir haben uns sehr umsorgt gefühlt.Robert,der Kellner bemerkte schnell,daß es mir nicht gut ging(Grippe) und kümmerte sich sehr aufmerksam und fürsorglich.Sein Medikamententip hat mich schnell gesunden lassen und ich bin ihm sehr dankbar dafür.Wir waren während unserer Zeit in Wien,jeden Abend dort zum Essen,was wohl eindeutig für totale Zufriedenheit spricht!Wir können das Lokal wärmstens empfehlen und wenn wir wieder mal in Wien sind,kommen wir...

Ein typisch Wienerisches Gasthaus. Von außen sieht es nicht besonders einladend aus. Von innen ist es aber sehr gemütlich und authentisch. Es war gut besucht. das Publikum war komplett gemischt. Mal eine Frauenrunde, am nächsten Tisch jüngere Männer Typ Akademiker nach der Arbeit, am nächsten Tisch eine älteres Pärchen… auch trifft man sich hier um in Geselligkeit ein Bierchen zu trinken. Das Essen war super. Klassische Wirtshausküche. Mein Schweineschnitzel war ordentlich, der Erdäpfelsalat war großartig. Das Achterl Grüner Veltliner war ok, aber nicht umwerfend. Ich hätte wohl eher ein Bier nehmen müssen. Preislich war auch alles mehr als fair. Gezahlt wird hier noch bar. Notfalls gibt es noch einen Automaten im gegenüberliegenden U-Bahnhof.
