L'Osteria Villach — Restaurant in Villach

The city of Villach is near to the borders of 2 other European countries: Italy and Slovenia. So it's natural, that there are a lot of influence by the history, the people and the culture. The first thing all emigrants bring with them is their special haute cuisine and the hairdresser ...! But in the acient past and the current time the mix of all culture in this area was only interrupted by the iron curtain of the former Soviet Imperium. Now all find together and getting hurt by the new culture clash with the Arabic migration since 2015. Sometimes you see the influence, but mostly it's hidden. The normal life continues with come and go of good restaurants. The market for stylish places is still growing. So these restaurant L'Osteria is a good mix of rial Italian and the new modern, so called Industrial style. But is not like the well-known and more famous restaurant with same name in NYC Grand Central station ... of course, but the Villach location is more big and new. The meals they offer are really good and big, just more for truckers or heavyweight lifters of the fitness club nearby. The ambient is modern style ... no everybody likes, but ok. Enjoy your stay and visit Italy...

A very disappointing experience. I came with a friend from the other side of the city hoping to have good food for dinner, we ordered a pizza with crudo prosciutto and pasta to share and try what kind of food they serve, and we got it with ordinary diced ham, (the mistake of a young, inexperienced waiter) since I was hungry, I ate almost half of my half and my friend had barely started, so that the first time when the waiter passed by, they called him and told him that he brought us a pizza with the wrong prosciutto, what did he say that he would replace it and that we should wait for the right one. We stopped eating the first one, got pasta that was unsalted and had a weak flavor intensity (nothing special) got the second real pizza that we ate. When we asked for the bill the waiter charged for the pizza we didn't eat and which he made a mistake, with the excuse that I ate half of my half which disappointed us as we have never had such a bad experience towards a guest anywhere. Vorrige Woche, Wiedermal köstliches Essen in einer faszinierenden Größe. Die Pizzen sind ein Gedicht! Kleine Anmerkung, bei er prosciutto Pizza, war leider sehr wenig prosciutto darauf, wie man am Foto erkennen kann. Nudeln, TOP! Was ich Toll fand ist, dass dieses Restaurant Feedback, ernst nimmt. Denn alle bestellten Gläser waren in einem Top Zustand. Wir waren an einem Tag wo es gut besucht war und man dies oft schlechter abschätzen kann. Daher war die Kellnerin gefordert, was man merkte. Aber es ist einfach Mensch und das ist auch vollkommen in Ordnung. Bitte an alle die Bewerten, bitte bedenken, wir sind Menschen. Eine Kleinigkeit wurde vergessen, aber es wurde von der bestellenden Person auch nicht nochmals erwähnt, daher lieber mit Block und Zettel als vergessen. Generell wäre es sehr nett, wenn man Hundebesitzer nach Wasser für das Tier fragt, macht immer Eindruck! Da wir die Pizza nicht aufgegessen haben, wollten wir sie mitnehmen. Eine Kollegin nahm sie mit und gab die Pizza in den Karton. Die Kellnerin, die für uns Zuständig war, wollte uns einen leeren Karton bringen zum selbst befüllen. Bitte! Fragt den Gast ob er es möchte oder nicht, es ist für mich Service. Bitte an alle, man muss keinen Hofknicks machen, aber mein Onkel gab 10 Euro Trinkgeld, was 15 Prozent waren, wenigstens ein lächeln und ein klareres Danke, wäre schön. Denn es ist fast ein Stundenlohn und ich bin in der Gastro groß geworden. Es ist leider keine Selbstverständlichkeit. Daher, bitte wieder schätzen lernen.

Es war mein erster Besuch, obwohl ich schon sehr viel darüber gehört hatte. Lokalität ist optisch sehr ansprechend. Es ist noch ungewohnt, dass man beim Eingang warten soll und dort einen Platz zugewiesen bekommt, da man dies nur aus sehr edlen Restaurants kennt. Die Mitarbeiter waren trotz vollem Hause sehr bemüht und äußerst freundlich. Die Getränke,.. Hausgemachte Himbeer Zitrone war ansprechend und erfrischend, ein tick zu bitter. Soda und Bier, alles passend. Die Gläser jedoch gehören einmal stückweise überprüft, da diese sehr starke Gebrauchspuren aufweisen. Die Pizzen.. sowas großes und leckeres schon lange nicht erlebt... man hat die Möglichkeit diese mit zwei verschiedenen Belagen belegen zu lassen. Und das für rund 13 Euro. Also davon essen zwei Personen! Mein Nudel Arrabiata war aus frischen Tomaten und wirklich sehr scharf 🙂 Der Cappuccino war genau geschmacklich gut getroffen. Bitte jedoch das korrekte Mischverhältnis von Kaffee, Schaum, Milch beachten. Das Baileys Tiramisu war recht klein und geschmacklich kam der Baileys Geschmack sehr schwach durch. Preislich im hohen Feld für die Portion. Beim Restlichen jedoch genau umgekehrt. Es wurde jeder Tisch und Sessel nach jeden Gast gereinigt! RESPEKT. Guter Tipp, Krümeln etc. in den Reinigungslappen hinein wischen und nicht auf den Boden. Sonst sieht er sehr schnell sehr...
