Lombardi Restaurant — Restaurant in Wagrain

Nice food but unfortunately we will not be coming back here. Tried to book a table well in advance (in person) however when we arrived the staff attempted to tell us we had booked for a different day. Both the waiter and waitress were rude and unhelpful and refused to listen to us. The waitress aggressively pointed at the booking in her book which she had taken down incorrectly and kept speaking in German despite knowing very well that we didn’t not speak German. We have had issues in the past with the service here however we overlooked them due to the food but after this we have decided it is no longer worth it.

When we were making the reservation (in advance of the night) the fact that the restaurant was full on the 31st was never communicated to us. A reservation on Thursday the 2nd was also never communicated to us. We were there for 15 minutes before the offer of sitting at bar or getting takeaway. So we left as we felt very unwelcome. We appreciate that this is a busy time of year and that there is a language barrier but that is not a reason for poor customer service. We were made to feel that we were in the wrong. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lombardi Restaurant for two consecutive days, and it was a fantastic experience. On my first visit, I enjoyed a delectable pizza topped with Parma ham and burrata. The next day, I opted for the risotto and tiramisu, both of which were equally delightful.

The staff at Lombardi are exceptionally friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Great food, extremely (!!!) friendly and welcoming staff, and overall a great place to eat! We were 3 families after a very long day of a flight + 5 hours drive with small children and toddlers, who were hungry, tired, and exhausted from this day (parents - you know this can be a recipe for a disastrous dinner).
