RIVERSIDE — Restaurant in Wagrain

Ordered a burger, got the wrong one (which I had to tell him 2 times) and because the server was really busy first said he’d make the correct one but then dumped some onion rings “on the house” on the table (the burger patty itself would contain an onion ring). We obviously presumed it was extra as he said a completely new burger would be ready in 2 minutes. We ate them while waiting 15 minutes and left the other burger just partly eaten (1/4) before it was taken away. Then he made us pay for the 20 euros costing original burger and when I said I wouldn’t (but instead pay for the onion rings) he started yelling and then made us wait 10 minutes for the bill. Never in my life experienced something as ridiculous as this! Be forewarned.

Edit: The owner/manager responded to this review with claims that are ridiculous and false, but as you can see they have a history doing that. Also, the manager started getting worked up and I tried explaining to him that had he explained that the onion rings were supposed to be on the burger it would have been fine, but he kept talking over me and eventually started yelling. I never yelled, that is nonsense. Like I said, never in my life have I ever experienced something as ridiculous as this and I went to a lot of restaurants.

And I paid for burger anyhow even though their mistake and abysmal service ruined our evening.

Just check the reviews and see how many 1 star reviews they have mostly complaining about this exact issue and then you’ll see they always go on some kind of smear campain in...

Ok, so lets say you spent the whole day skiing/ snowboarding and you're up for a beef steak, to gain some protein.. look no further, because i tried other restoraunts before as well, that simply wasn't it.. But these people can cook steak!! We ate here last night, i had the pepper steak filet, medium rare, and let me tell you it was the bomb👌! Service is also superb.. I'm only sorry that i didn't visit the place...

Wir fahren seit über 20 jahren nach wagrain zum Skifahren, wandern, Radfahren..... Wir sind auch regelmäßig im Riverside zu Gast weil wir das Ambiente dort (früher war sogar Livemusik) einfach lieben. Wir sind quasi Stammgäste in diesem Haus. Gestern wollten wir wieder hin zum Essen wo wir vom Subchef (seine Aussage) unfreundlich empfangen wurden bzw des Hauses verwiesen wurden weil wir nicht maskiert waren. Wie lächerlich ist das bitte wenn man diese Anweisungen der Poitkasperln strengstens Folge leistet, und Stammgäste einfach mal rausschmeisst. Wegen nichttragen eines Maulkorbs...... Überall auf der ganzen Skipiste Gondel Restaurants etc ist nur eine Masken Empfehlung , sogar im skibus hatten 90 Prozent keine Maske auf. Und dann verlangt der Kasperl eine Maske wenn man kurz zum Tisch geht. Für alle Regierungstreuen nochmal: die FFP2 Maske ist eine Staub und Schmutz Maske, der Hersteller schreibt ausdrücklich das es nicht vor Viren schützt..... Im Gegenteil aber schädigt es eurer Immunsystem um 30 Prozent.. Einfach mal auf die richtigen Ärzte hören und nicht den bezahlten Experten der Regierung. Zum Riverside, das war gestern leider unser letzter Besuch dort so geht man nicht...
