Gasthof Zellerstuben — Restaurant in Zell am Ziller

This hotel is based in the center of Zell am Ziller. Different hotels, several shops and restaurants are in the neighborhood present. The postbus (red line) stops frequently in the morning and afternoon during the skiing season. Right next door is the church and a cementary, some rooms have a view on this. The bells of the church start early, sometimes around 6:30 but mostly at 7:30 so no alarm is needed. ||||The hotel has about 30 rooms and has a restaurant for both hotel guests and a a la carte restaurant for "outsiders". This hotel is frequently being visited by larger groups who have both breakfast and dinner there. Allmost all the staff is coming from Croatia and surrounding countries. The owner is hardly ever there. Most of the staff spent a lot of time smoking sigarettes behind the bar which makes the place smell like sigarettes everywhere. ||||The rooms are small but with renovated bathrooms, a small flatscreen television is present with a limited amount of channels. Beds are hard with the older type duvet which means they are short if you are 1,80m. ||||The breakfast is like you get a breakfast before the year 2000, simple kaiser bread and sour wheat bread, some cheeses and hams. Some juice and coffee/tea. Yogurt and cerial is there. No fresh fruits or eggs/ham. ||||Wifi is present but is allmost useless because of the poor performance. A ski room is there but with no shoe heating. ||||The biggest problem is that one doesn't feel welcome here and the staff doesn't seem to care about it. No flexibilty in eating times and no responses on requests like, "could you stop smoking inside because we have children?" or comments about the...

Die Käsespätzle waren sehr lecker, jedoch komme ich nur auf 1 Stern. Gut gemeint, aber wohl verdient, dass es das am schlechtesten bewertete Restaurant in der Umgebung ist. Ich sag auch gerne warum:

Ich sagte der Bedienung, dass ich gerne den Alpenburger essen würde. Wirklich 2 Sekunden danach sah ich die "Empfehlung des Hauses" Karte und deshalb wollte ich den Burger, der dort drauf steht. Man sagte: "Der andere ist schon bestellt." Erst tat man als könnte man es nicht ändern und als ich es dann akzeptiert hatte, würde es dann plötzlich doch einfach gehen mit der Küche zu sprechen. Wir reden hier von 15 Sekunden nach Bestellung wohlgemerkt. Ich hab dann doch dankend abgelehnt und den ursprünglich bestellten Alpenburger so gelassen. Wollte dann nach diesem Start doch nicht experimentieren und den "alteingesessenen" auf der Tageskarte stehen lassen. Da kannst nix falsch machen. (-1 Stern)

Der Salat war genau so, wie in anderen Bewertungen beschrieben. Siehe Foto. Etwas langweilig und mengenmäßig zu wenig. Das Salatdressing schmeckt irgendwie komisch, aber dachte mir "hey mal was anderes". Am Ende bleibt jedoch eine wässrige Brühe im Schüsselchen übrig, die nicht lecker ist. (-1 Stern)

Der Alpenburger kam. Er war ein bisschen kalt. Ich wurde nicht gefragt wie "durch" ich meinen Burger gerne haben möchte. Im Inneren war noch alles rosa, siehe Foto. Auf Nachfrage, ob das so normal und gewollt sei, sagte man ja, weil wenn man es "zu durch" brät, dann trocknet das Fleisch aus. Aber man könne es gerne nochmal durchbraten wenn ich möchte. Ich hab es dann so gelassen. Was so gewollt ist, esse ich natürlich auch so. Habe schon viele Burger gegessen und dieser ist so im unteren Drittel. (-1 Stern)

Wie bereits erwähnt waren die Käsespätzle lecker, vor allem WARM weil in einer heißen Pfanne serviert wurde. Deshalb hätte ich gut und gerne mehr Punkte gegeben. (+1 Stern)

Nach dem Essen kam die Bedienung und fragte wie das Essen war. Ich hab ihr genau gesagt, dass die Käsespätzle sehr lecker waren, aber auch was an Salat und am Burger nicht gut war. "Man würde es der Küche weitergeben." OK. Keine Entschuldigung, kein Schnäppsle, Kaffee, nix. Ich habs draußen nochmal dem Parkautomaten erzählt.

Wir wollten die Käsespätzle einpacken lassen und mitnehmen. Eingepackt wurden sie einfach in Alufolie, siehe Foto. Auf Nachfrage und mit Hinweis, dass man vor allem Speisen mit Soße (salziges, saures) nicht in direktem Kontakt mit Alufolie einpacken darf, sagte man, dass Käsespätzle ja keine Soße hätten. Danke. Nicht mal einen ordentlichen Behälter für Speisen vorrätig. (-1 Stern)

Ich konnte deshalb auch kein Trinkgeld geben. Die Bedienung hat uns dennoch freundlich verabschiedet.
