The Galley - Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in City of Freeport

Absolute garbage!!!!!!! This is a restaurant that is by reservations only ! Service is garbage ! I made a reservation for 6pm when I arrived they told me my reservation was changed to 8pm! And also that the kitchen closes at 8:30pm I was told I have to wait for my entire party to reach to be seated ! At 8:25 I was told that “they would have to see if they can seat my party because they had another group to seat” after changing myy reservation??? While sitting at the bar we tried to order drinks the barmaid told us to wait then returned after 30 mins asking “Yall was calling me for something?” As if she’s not a barmaid?!?! No hospitality whatsoever Bear in mind that the other group was seated before everyone from their party came! Also the fact that the waitress said they wasn’t going to serve us . Nice restaurant but seems as if they found their workers in the ghetto...

Disappointing experience overall. The service was unwelcoming, the portions were small, and the prices didn’t match the quality. The lamb was good so I will give them that but I was charged $4 just for a side of onions—and the portion was laughable (see photo 😒). My friend received a drink she didn’t like, and when she asked to have it changed, they returned the same drink, just without alcohol. I was there for a weekend and I have to say that The Galley is truly an incredible discovery. The chef is a real magician, delightfully mixing French and Caribbean influences and adding a personal touch that makes all the difference. Everything here is delicious, from the wrap to the lobster po boy burger and the lobster bisque. Everything is made with fresh, quality produce. Don't miss the Pan Seared Duck, it's delicious.
