Honestly, if I could rate 10 stars I would.

The moment you step into Cocoplum, it feels like you're transported to a different place. Outdoor dining is complimented by palms, vintage touches, thoughtful mood lighting and elevated seating. It's a gentle shaded nook of paradise.

The staff here is amazing. Hansel was friendly, thoughtful, observant and efficient. He made excellent recommendations and had a personal take on the menu that we really appreciated. When flies started to gather after food arrived, he was close by with a repellant for our table.

As if that wasn't everything... The FOOD is IMPECCABLE. From prompt preparation and presentation to ingredient quality and taste....everything was amazing. Definitely a foodgasm - we literally could not put our food down without finishing. My partner was audibly moaning while eating. Hands down the best burger on the island. PERIOD. The lobster roll was immaculate, flavourful yet light at the same time. All of the bread seems to be made in house and is super flavorful, airy and fresh. The cassava chips and guac were clutch. The NY strip did not disappoint and then dessert! Omg. The lemongrass creme brulee was such a lovely twist on the original and the pistachio tart hit all the right spots.

We had a few of the craft cocktails which were also beautifully presented and equally delicious - the sassy sour, the peach mule and the blueberry gin..

The food is priced deservingly so. For 4 drinks, four entrees and two desserts, we spent under $300.

I've found my new...

The tomahawk steak was awesome. Very tender. My wife had pasta with vegetables, but she wasn't too fond of it. Was just ok, as she likes her sauce thicker, not too thin. She loves the cauliflower bites though. We've had them on both visits. The last time around though, the cauliflower may have been frozen as when she bit into it, water / fluids started gushing out. Overall I'd recommend as the food options are good. Atmosphere is good. Service is good. Moral, our waiter is really good as well and knowledgeable on the menu.

Update: Visited again with the wife. Her fav dish, the cauliflower bites are no longer in the menu 😢. Tonight we both enjoyed their Caesar salads; instead of croutons they serve some sort of toasted french bread it is maybe..but it's tasty as heck! Delicious. My wife really enjoyed the eggplant dish. We tried the artichoke dish, and although it was tasty, I'm not a fan. It's served almost whole with a dressing dip that was flavorful. The sesame ribs were excellent and tasty and had a little spicy kick. Would...

Incredible ambiance. But the service is poor. They were lifting heavy equipment, a hose through the trees and moving multiple tables and chairs around while there were at least 30 diners present. At one point we asked if they were having a live singer because they were bumping into our table while putting the large speaker in place. He said that they were having a function in the morning. I have dined many places around the world and I have never seen such discourteous behaviour to guests who are dining. This was actually only after 9 p.m. We were out for a nice evening and this was very distracting. Guests dining at night should not be inconvenienced because there is a function the next morning. The business should either pay the necessary staff to set up after all diners have left or early in the morning before the function. The food was decent but not worth a second visit. However, as I mentioned the ambiance is incredible, so it would be a good place...

Soo i think this was the most expensive dinner I had on my trip. We had the calamari, small portion but good. Guac was amazing but then when we got to the main course, my fiancé ordered the oxtail which was recommended by our server. I got the coco bowl but we were both a little disappointed. After being rushed to order because “chef is waiting” my lobster came out cold, the guac on my plate was not the same as what we shared. The salmon bites were good but the plate itself was just blend.. for 45$ The oxtail had barely any meat on it, we paid for the bone basically.. and since by the time we got our food kitchen was already closed we stayed with the food we received. The restaurant itself is very nice, cute. The servers were also very respectful and nice but I feel that the chef could take a bit more pride in their work. I manage a Restaurant back home, and I know last orders may be frustrating but shouldn’t require less care just because.
