Banarasi Babu Indian sweets & Chaats / Pure vegetarian Restaurant — Restaurant in Bahrain Island

We went post 1 week after their official inauguration. This is my genuine review.

We had to wait for table. It took alsmot 20mins. Then there was no one to do the table cleaning and to get that cleaned we told 4-5 times. Later it was attended. It took 10mins to place an order. And orders also came very late and one by one. We almost wait for 20+mins. There was plenty of time got waste between getting two ordered food. The order which supposed to get early (chaat), came last along with desert. By that the excitement, hungerness and patience were gone.

The same had been conveyed to owner and as per him, they have manpower issue due to less visa approvals. That's why there is service issue.

However, it was our poor experience. If they were aware of manpower issue, they would have got it sorted out and then opened for customers.

Not only us, rather other customers were also complaining about service.

Talking about food, the quantity is poor. Taste is ok. Chaat items and desert were nice (Dahi Puri And Rasmalai). We had pieces of tomato and Corriendor in bhature, which was never experienced before. Pav Bhaji was having less Tomato and more of paneer which was also new to us.

This would be our first and last visit to Banarasi Babu. Hope they will take this review positively and try to improve their services.

I recently visited Banarasi Babu restaurant for tasting their dessert - ordered Rabdi and I must say it was super delicious and by far the best on the island.

Ofcourse was not welcomed well as I believe they have very less staff and not much into decent welcoming to the customers ... but later on one of the staff assisted well.

Will update later on other dishes as well once I try but at present- for sweets this looks the apt. Place.

Negatives

I noticed that they are changing the prices at the bill counter. Rabdi displayed price was 0.800 fils per pack say if vat is extra then amount will be 0.880 fils and since I ordered 5 rabdis, bill was suppose to be 4.400 BHD but at counter the amount came as 4.500 as in difference of around 20 fils per item. Which needs to be looked in by the management.

Although a small difference but if this gets accounted for all the dealings done can be a much bigger total and this looks like...
