Colonials' Canopy — Restaurant in Rajshahi Division

Its rating was over hipped. According to their services they should not get that much rating. We had planned to go here at eid night with friends to have dinner, after analysis its positive reviews.

As its was hot day and first we ordered lemon mint juice. To make this simple lemon mint they took almost 45 to 55 mins. Its really horrible. Then we decided not to have dinner here. We moved to another restaurant for dinner.

We also saw that after placing order, they went to shop to buy lemons as they haven't it on their stock. Its really frustrating for a customer. And several times we knocked him whats the issue for the delay, they don't have prompt response to a customer to minimize the problem.

Also AC was turned off, when we first entered the restaurant. Its really hot environment there. Thats not acceptable. Though there are many customers. After telling them to turn on the AC, then they tunred it on.

Food was good 7/10

Service was really bad 2/10

Environment was average 5/10

Over priced 1/10 (compare to other popular restaurant at Rajshahi). Single lemon mint juice price was 190 tk per glass.

I recently visited Colonials’ Canopy/Backyard Kitchen while looking for a good beef steak. The place itself is cozy, with a nice setup that makes dining in pleasant.

I ordered the steak, but to be honest, the taste didn’t quite meet my expectations. Having tried steaks at several places before, I personally found this one a bit below the mark.

I noticed the restaurant has many 5-star reviews, and I can understand why — for someone trying steak here for the first time, it may actually feel quite enjoyable.

Every palate is different, and while it wasn’t the best for me, I’d still say it’s worth giving a try. Who knows — it might suit your taste better than...

We ordered a beef taste. We asked to make it medium-welldone which they followed perfectly. Taste was really good. However, the sauce was not up to the mark compared to the steak with a bit of saltiness.

We also ordered a lemon mint which was really good.

Personal Rating: Steak: 8/10 (it lost 0.5 due to sauce) Lemon Mint: 7/10 (good drink for summer)

Environment: 6.5/10 (seems like the decorations are getting old, seems a bit darker next to Sultan dines)
