We had good expectations for this place because of their high ratings and their high prices. Sadly We were disappointed with our overall experience. Below some feedback
friendly staff taste of food was good and fresh ingredients extremely loud environment: we had to speak very loud to understand eachother and the kitchen noise was overwhelming portions too small for price and for food sharing concept, Example: dish of grilled veggies for 15euro. This only contained 1/5th cabbage, 1/4th chicory and 3 small bimi broccolis. For that price one would expect to get much more variation and simply more veggies. This was not enough for 1 person, let alone for sharing. Same with the meat: 55euro for a ribeye, indicated as for 2 persons, but 50% was fat, only 6 small slices of meat were edible. 55euro was simply not a correct price for that dish. Prices: we paid around 40 euro per person, excluding drinks, and left with a hungry feeling. Value for money was not there. Service: if we compare to other places within similar price range, table service was not up to standard. We had to wait for at least 45minutes. We also had to ask for cutleries ourselves to serve from the shares plates like veggies, the fish. Also for the steak we had to use a basic knife instead of a steak knife.

Eh bien, laissez-moi vous dire !!! Je ne m’attendais absolument pas à une telle expérience.
Nous étions un groupe de quatre et avons décidé de laisser le propriétaire, Steven, nous guider dans nos choix. Nous avons opté pour un partage total des plats, des entrées aux desserts en passant par les plats principaux. Ses conseils ont transformé notre simple déjeuner en un véritable voyage culinaire que nous ne sommes pas près d’oublier.
Au-delà du fait que tout était délicieusement exquis, chaque plat était présenté avec élégance et raffinement, surpassé seulement par des saveurs incroyables et des goûts originaux.
Parmi nos coups de cœur, nous vous recommandons vivement d’essayer : • Ceviche de thon rouge • Tartare de bœuf • Ailes de poulet désossées • Filet de bar à la peau croustillante • Bœuf mijoté avec sauce gravy • Tarte Tatin aux oignons caramélisés • Glace maison • Et surtout, ne passez pas à côté du brownie aux dattes accompagné de glace vanille !
Nous ne pouvons tout simplement pas imaginer revenir à Anvers sans faire un détour par Boëna.

Nou, laat me je vertellen!!! Ik had nooit zo’n ervaring verwacht.
We waren met z’n vieren en besloten om de eigenaar, Steven, ons te laten begeleiden bij onze keuzes. We kozen ervoor om alle gerechten te delen, van voorgerechten tot hoofdgerechten en desserts. Zijn advies veranderde onze simpele lunchplannen in een culinaire reis die we nog lang zullen herinneren.
Naast het feit dat alles overheerlijk was, werden onze gerechten prachtig en stijlvol gepresenteerd, met smaken en combinaties die simpelweg subliem waren.
Onze aanraders zijn: • Ceviche van blauwe vinvis • Steak tartaar • Kippenvleugels zonder bot • Krokant gebakken baarsfilet • Langzaam gegaard rundvlees met jus • Gekarameliseerde uien Tarte Tatin • Huisgemaakt ijs • En je moet de unieke dadelsbrownie met vanille-ijs proberen!
Wij kunnen ons niet voorstellen om terug te keren naar Antwerpen zonder een bezoek aan Boëna.
