We stopped here after visiting the grotto, hoping for a relaxing drink with a view. Most of our group ordered beers right away. Two of us were still deciding.
There weren’t enough chairs, so one friend who had already ordered sat on a stone next to the table. Meanwhile, the two of us who hadn't ordered yet were sitting quietly, looking at the menu.
That’s when the waitress swooped in, grabbed a chair from our table and said, “You haven’t ordered anything, so I’m giving this to other people.”
Fair enough — technically, we hadn’t. But we were still mid-decision, and part of a group that had clearly already ordered. Meanwhile, someone who did order was literally sitting on a rock.
The whole thing felt unnecessarily rude and weirdly territorial, like chairs were a premium perk and we hadn’t unlocked the right level yet. Don’t expect hospitality unless you prove yourself worthy...
