Gran Gusto Brasschaat — Restaurant in Brasschaat

The menù seems nice but unfortunately the food was nothing of special or good enough for what I was expecting and for the price they ask. I ordered a classic dish to check the differences and the quality compare to any other Italian restaurant in Belgium, so I had a lasagna but it wasn't good, served in the typical Belgium way(never in Italy), too much over cooked and burned on top, the sauce was too dried, with no salt and taste in the meat and almost no besciamella, probably it has been made two or three days before and took out of the freezer, that's why it was over cooked to be sure that is not cold inside. As Italian I can assure that nowhere in Italy you could find a lasagna like this. Definitely the dish was not good enough to justify the price. At the other side the service was nice, people were kind and friendly. What I advise to take is the dessert...

Having italian roots makes it risky to eat at italian restaurants- as we tend to be critical of the food :) Gran gusto is hands down the best Italian food you will get anywhere in the region. The menu is not extensive (a good sign), I get nervous when the menu has many pages. What you get is fresh, top quality ingredients- cooked well. Een Onvergetelijke Avond bij Gran Gusto!

Wat een fantastische ervaring hebben we gehad bij Restaurant Gran Gusto ter ere van de verjaardag van mijn vrouw. Vanaf het moment dat we binnenkwamen, voelden we ons warm welkom geheten. Het was een prachtige verrassing om een persoonlijke verjaardagskaart op tafel te vinden – een detail dat direct een glimlach op ons gezicht toverde.

De ontvangst door de man en vrouw des huizes was hartelijk en oprecht. Het was extra bijzonder dat zij beiden persoonlijk langskwamen om mijn vrouw een gelukkige verjaardag te wensen, wat de avond meteen een intiem en feestelijk tintje gaf.

De menukaart, met een keuze uit drie voortreffelijke voor- en hoofdgerechten die maandelijks wisselen, getuigt van pure passie. Je proeft en ziet de liefde en tijd die in elk gerecht is gestoken. Voor ons beiden was het een waar smaakfestijn. Elke hap was een genot en de aangepaste wijnkeuze maakte de beleving compleet.
