Sumo — Restaurant in Bruges

Note: the evening we were here, it was very calm.

The service was excellent. The waitress was friendly and attentive. We had a reservation and mentioned there would be kids along. At the restaurant, we found places prepared for the kids, some coloring pencils available, etc. Small things perhaps, but they make you feel immediately welcome. When it became clear the seats were a bit low for the kids, cushions were promptly provided.

We had a dinner with show cooking. Both the show and cooking were excellent. Meats were prepared as asked, well seasoned, excellent sauces, and the salmon was so tender it melted on the tongue. The kids enjoyed the show and the meats from the kids menu. They had a great time. And the adults as well!

There is a nice, tranquil atmosphere in the restaurant. Soft Asian music, kimonos for the guests, aquariums and a water party, Asian paintings, some well placed greenery... It all worked well together. Of course, it not being a busy time may have helped in the tranquility.
