Sint-Janshuismolen is one of four windmills that line the northeastern ramparts and Ringvaart in the Historic Centre of Bruges. It is open for public visitation, providing opportunity for visitors to see the inner workings of a flour grinding mill. Opening hours are 9.30-12.30pm and 1.30-5pm daily. Entry is €4 per adult.
In addition to seeing the interior of Sint-Janshuismolen, it is also neat just to view the mill from the outside. There is a walking path that takes you up to each of the four mills, allowing up close views. Sint-Janshuismolen is the second in the line of mills starting from Kruispoort Gate.

Read moreWe visited on 06/04/11. It is one of 4 windmills in Park Kruisvest. It gave us a scenic walk along the water way and we also watched bridges opening for passing boats. Sint-Janshuismolen is a working mill and when we asked the guide whether he operated the windmill, he did so and we were able to watch the mill grind wheat. He explained everything to us in English & willingly answered all our questions. We felt that paying 4 Euros each was good value. The steps up to & inside the windmill were very steep.
