Good food, great value Myself and partner visited this place after a seemingly endless for somewhere decent to eat, and came across this place on the market square. Luckily Nicole speaks both French and Flemish fluently, as the menu is in both, with not a hint of English in sight, but, hey ho, when in Rome as they say. We opted for a starter of scampi and freshwater crayfish, followed by steak with a peppercorn sauce, and a bottle of rose. We waited for about 10 minutes for the wine to arrive and were a little surprised to see a bowl of peanuts (we were expecting some bread). Shortly after that the starters arrived, wow, tasty or what ?? We were served a bowl filled with piping hot scampi and crayfish swimming in a fantastically tasty fish sauce. Again, a short wait, well, about 10 minutes again, the mains arrived. There was a reasonably sized steak, a garnish of salad, a bowl of french fries and a gravy boat of sauce. Just as we ordered. They steaks were cooked to perfection, the sauce was nicely peppery and the salad nice too. Aweful! Just really really bad food! I had the lobster ravioli and after the first bite I knew, I won't be able to finish this disasterous meal. The pasta was waaaayyy overcooked abd the filling was just horrendous! My daughter had a kids menu steak with fries. The steak wasn't seasoned at all (even kids like a bit of taste). The fries were all right, but this is Belgium. Part of the kids menu was vanilla/chocolate ice cream wich which came in a store bought cup. no garnish nothing. just a little plastic cup. I noticed that other guests sent back their only half eaten meals as well. So I'm pretty sure the restaurants food is bad overall. The decor of the place is more bla than yay. They played the same 5 songs (piano bar versions of popular hits) over and over. At least our waiter was quite friendly. Although I did notice one waiter who was wearing the shirt of a restaurant across the street. May the two places belong to the same owner, either way I thought it was weird. I really can't...

Het eten was niet super. De mosselen waren slecht gekuist, in eentje zat er zelfs zoveel zand dat het niet te eten was. Allergenen informatie is niet beschikbaar. Er wordt wel wat gezegd, maar niet gecontroleerd. De ober wist van enkele gerechten zeker wat er inzat van allergenen. Maar van andere gerechten niet. Dat is hij niet gaan navragen en dat zijn we ook niet te weten gekomen. De keuze werd daardoor nog beperkter. De bediening begint goed en vriendelijk. Ze komen mooi langs om eten en drinken te noteren. Maar wanneer het eten opgediend is, moet je veel moeite doen om de aandacht van de bediening te trekken. Wanneer ze dan aan tafel komen, is de bediening wel heel vriendelijk. De afstandsmaatregelen worden niet goed gevolgd. Niet alle tafels staan goed. Wanneer alle tafels bezet zijn, kan de bediening niet eenvoudig aan elke tafel geraken doordat de stoelen van twee verschillende tafels te dicht tegen elkaar staan.
