We went in for some quiche and soup as advertised in the window. Unfortunately the place has changed, itâs now a sort of Italian restaurant (Iâm Italian and most dishes are definitely not Italian).
There are no more soups and quiches, and they only had two cold vegetarian options (tomato and mozzarella, and a salad) which I didnât feel like having on a cold day, I was looking for a warm meal.
I asked if they could offer anything else, but they said that was the menu. So we decided to order just two glasses of wine and one warm dish for my husband.
While we were already enjoying our wine and some nice complimentary pĂątĂ©, they told us we couldnât order just one dish between the two of us (âbecause this is a restaurantâ, was their reason), so we said weâd just enjoy our wine and pĂątĂ© as an aperitif, and leave.
The bill came and they charged 6⏠for the complimentary pùté. We paid and then told them what a bad experience this was for us, and that 1. They should change the writings on the window, and 2. We felt it would have been a much better experience for everybody had they been more flexible.
The manager was nice and in the end he decided to only charge for the wine. The dishes we saw looked good (maybe slightly overpriced, the salad was 20âŹ), it was just a shame they preferred to lose a customer...

   Read moreOh, that was an amazing food experience. That place is a hidden gem in Dinant! We jumped in for a lunch, and there is no chance we could find anything better. Tartare was a masterpiece â it looked brilliant, and tasted even better. Shrimps were great, well seasoned, just an ideal combination of flavours. And the same for ravioli :) We were welcomed by very friendly and welcoming people, the atmosphere was so good! Looking forward to get back...
