Vinhmm... — Restaurant in Herentals

All wineries in Herentals demand a high score. That is absolutely true. This place hits things from another angle - the selection. All wines in the selection are 4.0 or higher in the grades on vivino and other websites. And they are priced really low here so it is definately a win for the visitors. I had 3 absolutely killer wines in the selection (4 glasses ordered) and I got a Furmint to try which was killer too. I recommend the place highly! See their wine lists and grab full bottles for very reasonable pricess, and if there is place do sit down and try the food and wine by the glass! PS. Got a zinfandel wine called Carnivor.. oh my Gosh.. genius! PS2. Visited today as well - the list of wines to try has been updated so I think I will have to visit next week ;) PS2. Came in today had a quick mini taste of 2 wines and went with a Gruner Vetliner - at a great price it has to win :) PS3. Visited yesterday to get some wine and I was told there is a new list on the wall - and it was a great list especially the new Nero Davola and Pinotage killed. I love the surprises this...

I know Vinhmm...and their charismatic owner Bert since their opening in 2006 (or 2005...time goes by too fast!). Before Covid I was a regular customer, but then the times changed and I didn't show up anymore.

Today I was happy to reappear and had a blast. The place still rocks, has gotten a stylish facelift (among other colours, sound insulation and design lighting), but kept its authentic soul, that of a wine bar where friendliness and good food & tastes are the most important. Nothing beats a delicious artisanal made soup, shrimp croquettes and a classy Ribera del Duero Tempranillo!

I was happy to show my face again, and will do so in the future because in my opinion it only has improved over the years.

Wat een geweldige ervaring! We mochten van heel wat lekkere wijnen proeven. Later op de avond kregen we ook een overheerlijke kaas en vleesplank met ambachtelijk gemaakte broodjes. Bij iedere wijn kregen we interessante info. Daarnaast neemt Bert uitgebreid de tijd om je vragen te beantwoorden. Bert is een echte kenner met enorm veel ervaring, hij kent zijn vak als de beste! Nadien kocht ik voor 50€ 4 lekkere wijnen in de shop. Deze wijnen zijn prijs/kwaliteit heel goed! Dank je wel voor deze geweldige avond! Mij en mijn vriendinnen zie je zeker nog terug.
