M A N G I A R E — Restaurant in Kasterlee

This was a very interesting experience. When i called for gluten free pizza’s i got an affirmatve respons. But when we arrived at the restaurant it seemed very complicated to get this as take-away from the owner. Furthermore when we ordered a pizza specifically with extra cheese, we didn’t get cheese but ... pineapple! This mysteriously led to a somewhat agited conversation as cheese and pineapple (even in Dutch) don’t sound quite similar...Luckily the daughter of the owner was more flexible and we got the cheese pizza as ordered. Also we got a bottle of wine from her. Unfortunately when we got home there still was something wrong with our order, this was relevant as some of us were allergic to specific ingredients. All in all the atmosphere got a bit chilly in the place... The pizza we did get were very tasty, so in the end it all was worth...

The service was good and fast, but the way they made the pizza was very strange.

This is the first time I see that pizza is made in an original stone oven, but instead of wood, cardboard is used! And the pizza got a taste of burnt paper ... probably because of time pressure or something like that they decided on this method. and it's a shame because I have a feeling that the pizza in this place could be much better. Please don't do that again... If you don't have the time, It is better to tell customers to come another time and not make...

Zeer onvriendelijk aan de telefoon om een reservatie te verzetten. Telefoon zomaar neergelegd.

Reactie op reactie van de eigenaar: Sorry, maar de lijn was niet verbroken, telefoon werd duidelijk ingehangen. De reservatie is 1 maal verplaatst en niet afgebeld. en de cadeaubon was pas vervallen, wat voor u GEEN probleem was na ons eerste telefonisch gesprek. En nog een opmerking: waarom moeten cadeaubons altijd vervallen? Dit is geen reden om onvriendelijk behandeld te worden aan de...
