Mi Media Naranja — Restaurant in Lommel

We visited Mi Media Naranja whilst on a short break a couple of weeks ago. We arrived and were greeted with a warm welcome and seated at our table and offered a house aperitif. The waitress asked if we had any dietary requirements and we explained that our son had a nut allergy and we were assured that was ok. We ordered our meals and were given a couple of small tapas type dishes while we waited for our first courses. Within a few minutes our sons lips began to swell and he became covered in blisters all over his body! We took him straight to hospital and were told that he had a severe allergic reaction and was given antihistamines and put on a drip having to spend the night in hospital. After contacting the restaurant the following day we were told that they had used a little peanut oil despite us explaining that our son had a nut allergy! This was a very distressing experience and luckily our son is ok. We paid 114.00 euros for what we had eaten which was very little and had traveled to Belgium for our son to compete in a National motocross event but unfortunately he was not well enough to compete and we ended up with a wasted trip!! Something never seen before! At 04/09 2024,20h00 we arrive at the restaurant, no customers inside, we wait 5 minutes inside and finally a woman comes out of the kitchen to ask us if we wanted to eat ..... Telling us immediately that there was an hour and a half of waiting if we ate tapas + main course (in fact it made us understand that he did not want to have customers) I wonder, but how do you allow a waitress (hoping that she was not the owner) to welcome customers like this!!! If you don't want to work or you don't have staff to serve customers, close no!!! Finally, I wanted to tell you that tonight you came across a restaurateur who knows the job very well and has well understood what the lady wanted us to understand... Now I wonder how this restaurant gets these notes on Google!!!! I therefore recommend all lovers of Spanish cuisine to avoid this...

Ik wil hierlangs mijn bedankt nogmaals zeggen , Voor de eerste keer in jaren tijd en voor de eerste ervaring voor mij dat ik ooit in een spaans restaurant ben geweest wil ik zeggen TOP!!! wat een lieve warme sociale professionele mensen! van in het begin werd er ons gevraagd of we allergisch of iets niet lustten , en wat een ontvangst zeg super! ze nemen de tijd om met je even te babbelen en ook om te luisteren wat het echt een warm gevoel geeft, ik zit echt vol vol vol lof! , mensen lief elk bord was lekker warm en speciaal er waren kruiden bij waar ik van bijna (kreunde van plezier in de mond hoe belachelijk het ook klinkt , tegen dat ik aan mijn voorgerecht was had ik verschillende soorten tapas gekregen wat telkens een verassing was! , ik hat dan als voorgerecht de calamares genomen het beste calamares wat ik heb gegeten tot nu toe , alles klopte! dan heb ik als hoofdgerecht lams met rumsaus genomen maar ik zat al goed vol , hehe ELK CENT WAARD! my god ik kan hier blijven schrijven het is echt een belevenis! dank je Sofie en Co ! mij zie je ZEKER nog terug!
