Franco Gallo owns and runs this local wineshop and restaurant at the end of the Pauwengraaf (one of Maasmechelen's older shopping streets). Prices are correct, and the information that accompanies every glass and bottle is priceless. Franco has acquired an incredible insight in not only wines, but relating subjects as well. Every bottle has a story, and if it doesn't you might be making one while you're there. Don't expect him to remember the wines you had on a previous visit but you will be amazed to discover het has not forgotten about you. I recently dropped by for a quick wine after not having seen him for 5 years, and he welcomed me in as if I'd been in a day earlier. While you're at it, the food is delicious too, so why not make it a whole night. You may already be aware of the fact you don't choose the wines, Franco selects them for you. Via Social Deal geboekt. Heel hartelijk en vriendelijk ontvangst door Franco zelf 😊. Leuk ingericht en warm interieur! Zeker nog eens terug komen in het najaar en dan binnen zitten in de huiselijke sfeer. Nu buiten op het terras plaatsgenomen. Bediening ook zeer vriendelijk. Vast menu van de deal maar konden ook kiezen uit het gewone menu, hiervoor werd supplement gevraagd, dit was voor ons geen probleem. Gerechten allemaal vers gemaakt en aardig opgediend. Prijs en kwaliteit goed 👍🏻 Van wijnbar naar restaurant...

Vanavond met een gezelschap van 16 personen gaan eten bij Franco en zijn toppers! Wat een geweldige avond. Franco heeft voor ons een menu samengesteld: bruchetta´s, tapasplankje, drie verschillende pasta´s... een ware topper!

Als digestief een topwijntje gedegusteerd op aanraden van Franco, schot in de roos!

Nadien nog enkele pareltjes uit hun winkeltje aangekocht.
