I entered the space and the place looks really unassuming. It turned out to have One of the best sushi I have ever eaten! One could tell care has been put into the decoration of the industrial looking space to make it as cozy and authentic as possible for you and the chef is also really enthusiastic about his food. Just make sure you are not in a rush to finish your food as it can take alittle longer for food to arrive as the chef is doing everything himself. But I honestly don't mind the wait to eat that quality of sushi. Will definitely visit again.

Zusammenfassung: Das Restaurant ist sehr empfehlenswert. Der Besitzer ist freundlich und das Essen schmeckt sehr gut. Die Preise sind auch angemessen. Das Restaurant wirkt auf den ersten Blick unscheinbar, doch beim Betreten wird man freundlich empfangen. Nach der Bestellung wurden uns die Vorspeisen zeitnah serviert. Diese waren sehr schmackhaft und der Besitzer gab uns interessante Informationen über das Essen. Als Hauptgericht bestellten wir Ramen und zweimal Sushi, die ebenfalls sehr gut schmeckten. Außerdem erfuhren wir, dass man in Japan Sushi mit einer anderen Soße isst, die nur leicht aufgetragen wird, um den Geschmack des Fisches zu erhalten. Fazit: Bei meinem nächsten Urlaub in Belgien werde ich dieses Restaurant gerne wieder besuchen. English: Summary: The restaurant is highly recommended. The owner is friendly and the food tastes very good. The prices are also reasonable. The restaurant looks unimpressive at first glance, but when you enter, you are greeted in a friendly manner. After ordering, we were promptly served our starters. They were very tasty and the owner gave us interesting information about the food. For the main course, we ordered ramen and two sushi dishes, which also tasted very good. We also learned that in Japan, sushi is eaten with a different sauce, which is only lightly applied to preserve the flavor of the fish. Conclusion: I will gladly visit this restaurant again on my next vacation in Belgium.

Ich war heute mit meinem Mann dort essen, wir fahren schon seit einigen Jahren nach Ostende und haben es vor einiger Zeit entdeckt und haben uns nun mal getraut dort essen zu gehen.. und ich muss sagen.. Es war wirklich sehr lecker. Der Inhaber ist ein sehr netter Mann. Hat uns beim rein gehen erklärt warum gerade aktuell das Licht aus ist. ( der Laden hat keine Fenster und es war etwas warm im Laden) Seine kleine Tochter war da und hat ihn beim servieren geholfen. Sehr süß die kleine! Das Ambiente.. Vorallem die Decke hat mir besonders gefallen. Der Boden.. ja gut klar gibts schöneres.. aber mir reicht es. Schöne Musik im Hintergrund. Und nun zum Essen: Wir haben 2 kleine Vorspeisen und als Hauptgang ein Sushi Boot. Alles sehr lecker. Eine kleine Sache hat mir nicht ganz so gut gefallen.. Auf allen Sushis auf dem Boot war leider diese „Mayonnaise“ drauf. Ist nicht ganz so mein Ding. Aber gut das ist sehr wahrscheinlich geschmackssache. Sehr wahrscheinlich mögen die einheimischen das mehr als wir in Deutschland 😅 Vielleicht stand es auch auf der Karte und wir haben es überlesen.. Aber es hat dem Geschmack trotzdem nicht verschlechtert. Also Fazit: wir kommen bestimmt wieder wenn wir wieder in Ostende sind!

The food was amazing, I was actually mind-blown since I am usually not a sushi person but this was truly so good! The staff was very kind and helpful, they came to us emdiatly and answered all our dumb questions about the sushi with a big smile. And there is also faking music in the background. It’s not cheap but it’s not the most expensive Either, and for the quality of all this food it’s definitely worthed. I would definitely come here again! The owner told us that all the ingredients are from Japan! Perfect place for...

We went here yesterday for lunch. Just after opening.

The owner was super nice. Very friendly to our dog who kept begging for attention. Offered us some water straight away for him. Which was welcome after the long walk we had.

We ordered a karaage poké bowl and a negikare (sp?) ramen.

I personally had the ramen and it was fantastic. Perfect level of spicy but not overwhelmingly hot. Could still taste the rich pork flavour in the broth.

Will definitely be going back there...
