Ziena — Restaurant in Ostend

Strange. We only had some of order taken, and the server walked away before we had all ordered without a word. When I finally ordered he said of course - but it was forgotten and came 10 minutes after the rest of the food. They also forgot some of our drinks. Don't go on a Sunday - half the dishes were unavailable because they can't buy ingredients on a Sunday according to them.

Horrible experience. That night they were clearly understaffed but that does not justify the disgusting (and incredibly overpriced) food, the dirtyness of the restaurant, bathroom and kitchen, and the one hour and a half we had to wait for the very simple dish we ordered. 10 euros for a single shrimp krokket is crazy, and they even tried to make us a pay for a random bottle of beer that appeared on the table just...

What a disappointment! Not sure why the reviews are so positive. It's a poor quality fast food joint which is nicely decorated to look like a restaurant. The pizza was simply aweful, cheap ingredients, greasy cheese and mushroom from a can. The calamari dry and tasteless. The service is very friendly and the interior (for what you get here) quite pleasant. Still, we wouldn't come back...
