Probably only the cheese and pickles platter tasted alright. Soup taste weak and lacking. Standard of grilled meat over all is bad-- dry, hard and some over grilled becoming literarily burnt. I have tried to eat some of them jus to get over with it but couldn't finish as they were too dry, hard and pretty to bitter due to the burnt parts. My partner, the most unfussy eater in the world, didn't wan anything to go to waste, ate the rest. Pretty horrible experience as we had Tajine's before and the taste was great and Tajin is SUPPOSE TO BE VERY GOOD. So this was pretty much a disappointment and shock-- not culturally but qualityofkitchen-wise. Of course will never ever go back again. Doubted all the good reviews here, it's either they are all the most unfussy eaters in the world or have terribly low standards or way too kind. My standards are not awfully high but I take my food seriously and I expect the chef to get the basics right at least. When I have to struggle with meat that's dry, hard and burnt or basically overcooked or maybe left there too long it becomes dry and hard and yet the restaurant still wants to serve it regardless of the consequences, I find that appalling, reviling and honestly, unacceptable. HIGHLY...
Read moreThe restaurant was taking care of a very large group, and I did not know. It was 20 minutes before closing, but my train was canceled, so I had wandered to this restaurant and stopped for a late lunch. I do not speak the language, but a man welcomed me and my partner in, told us to sit wherever we like, and took care of us. Staff was kind, professional, and fast. I saw plate after plate lined up on the counter with beautiful and colorful food filling them up! They did a fabulous job getting the group's food out and tending to the other tables waiting. I was shocked at their ability to handle so much with good attitudes and impeccable plates. This restaurant could have turned me away, among others entering, so close to closing. They didn't, and I am grateful. My meal was fantastic! I ordered the Scampi Maison, and my partner ordered a chicken plate. We fought over my scampi sauce because it was that good! My partner was putting it on his chicken. We were dipping his fries in it and scraping the pita bread across the plate to soak up every drop. I will bring family members by train just to try this restaurant when this...
