In the past, this restaurant used to be a very decent Chinese restaurant. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. First impression... Nice place with its own underground parking. Spacious, beautiful decor and impressive garden! A pond with koi fish under a floor of glass... Wow! Second impression... Service was friendly but a little slow even though it was not a busy night. Third impression... A buffet that lacks imagination and freshness! There was a huge variety of fried and breaded foods, obviously industrially made and almost every single dish contained gluten, read wheat (!). The kind of junk food you can find on buffets in second class eateries. Even worse, there were hardly any vegetables or salad options to choose from! Only one vegetarian main course (which tasted ok but not good) and no vegetables as side dishes. What dish would I recommend? Actually, I would not recommend anything! Unfortunately, the only options to choose from in the Google menu are "Sweet Sour fish" which didn't look very appetizing but thick and pasty with miniscule pieces of fish in it, and "Nuggets". Who wants to eat nuggets when you go to a Chinese restaurant?!
All by all, a negative experience and a waste of money. Maybe the food is better if you order from the menu. The buffet is to be avoided! What matters is the food not the decor or parking. I will not return to this restaurant and I cannot...
Read moreThis is a pricier Chinese restaurant which has a wonderful garden and koi fish swimming along under your feet! You can even see them swimming under since the floor is see through close to the entrance.
You can either go for the buffet which is 25€ per person or order from their menu.
If you go by car, they have their own garage so you won't need to look for parking.
The service crew is also very nice and helpful. The other guests might not be that nice though as you are in the more Bougey part of Brussels. This is also explains why it's a bit more expensive too ..
The choice for the buffet is good : you have warm and cold appetizers, main menu and even desserts.
My fave part of the buffet is the dessert, specially the ice cream where you can find a very Belgian flavour which is schtroumph ice cream! It's every kid's fave and big kids. Do try it, it's the blue coloured ice cream.
If you waste food, you will have...

The restaurant has a slight chinese feel to it. It is large and modern. The chinese garden is very impressive and makes for a great end-of-date nightly mini-stroll. There is a glass floor in the entrance, and you can see the fish swimming underneath. I've been there twice recently, and the service was great both times. On certain days, a reasonably priced buffet allows you to try all the main dishes until you're full. Otherwise there are numerous menus and chinese dishes.
Purists be warned: it's not a "traditional" chinese restaurant.
Tips & tricks:
Despite the restaurant having a car park, it isn't very large, and leaving it can be a nightmare since the entrance and exit are the same and very narrow. On busy hours, I would suggest rather parking the car along the "Chaussée de la Hulpe", at the beginning of the "Bois de la...
