I come here once in a while, especially in Summer for the terrace. Also in winter, nice cozy ambiance and good food. Prices are in line with Brussels. Hare back at Eur 29 was very good. Mushroom on toast at Eur 19 a bit too expensive! Good wine list with a reasonable markup. Bonus: cigar lounge for after meal smoke!

I have been coming here for years, and it is a fairly good place but could be great with some effort. Here is why. The atmosphere is pleasant, enough space between tables, soft tone lighting.
General quality of main dishes was good. Excellent ris de veau (though 34 euros seems a bit steep!) and good pheasant (26 euro) though it was slightly overcooked.
Prices have gone up a lot, blame it on general inflation these days but it's not enough to explain 9 euro for a bottle of still water, 18 euro for bisque de homard (lobster soup) and 24 euros for 6 oysters gratinées.
Smallish wine list compared to what I remembered and again not a good deal. A half bottle of average red Loire was 25 euro.
They are understaffed. We had a nice waiter, who tried his best but he was attending too many tables.
Several dishes were sold out, we were told, "because it is Sunday". Excuse me? I asked again but they kept repeating that not all that's one the menu was available because "it was Sunday". Mmmmmhhhhh?

Read moreI am amazed to see the reviews about the fast service! When?Where? Just been there with my husband. Had a nice walk in the park and the decided to have some food at the brasserie. We walk in, we wait for someone to greet us and take us to a table. I can see around 10 waiters and half the tables free. No one bothers for a good 5 minutes. Then someone came, seated us. No menu, no drinks,not even a look towards us for realistically 15 minutes! At a certain point i ask the menu to one of the waiters, he practically rolls his eyes and tells me that he will bring ne the menu but he will not take our order because our table its not his table to serve. We choose what we want to eat and drink, another 15min without anyone bothering to come to us. I call another waiter he says he will send his colleague .. 10 min and no one came. At this point we decided to leave. I am not intending to beg for people to serve me food and pay for it. Read moreI used to come there last year for sunny days, given in particular the nice playground for kids. Yesterday however the experience for dinner was really terrible: we waited very long to order, the aperitives arrived after the main dish was already on the table, the waiter, could not open a bottle of wine properly, the meat in our plates was over-cooked and we had to asked twice to get the meal ordered for our kid. At the entrance the welcoming was very arrogant. Only one waiter seemed to be experienced and totally overwhelmed! We could feel that the personnel was missing and one of them admitted in the kitchen personnel was missing as well. But still this did not seem to prevent the boss to open the whole resto which was then packed , despite the quality of food and service was impacted.
