Caramelo — Restaurant in Corozal Town

For a coffee shop, this place was less than impressive. I gave them 2 stars for the simple fact of existing in Corozal, in which not many businesses survive, and for making the effort. They need a lot of improvement. So I ordered a butterfly pea tea, a caramel frappe and a bubble milk tea. Now, because of previous experiences with coffee shops always making drinks way too sweet, I asked the young man to please make all drinks with HALF SUGAR. He acknowledged my order, so I paid and left to enjoy my drinks at home. When my family and I took a sip of our dinks we almost went into a coma with the amount of sugar in that drink 🤪 it was twice as sweet. I don't know if the young man misunderstood half sweet or half sugar ( which means not a whole, but half of that 🙄) for double sugar, but mein it was super sweet. This applies to all 3 drinks. Beside the sugar problem, the coffee frappe had no coffee taste or flavor, it was either super weak or overpowered by the overwhelming amount of sugar. As a customer, I wasn't offered any loyalty reward program, which probably would have made a little difference in the experience I had. Not a very good coffee place as far as coffee goes. They did offer pastries as far as I could see but I can't offer feedback in that regard as I didn't taste any of those products. I hope they take into account this review and make necessary...
