Tortuga Grill&Lounge — Restaurant in Corozal Town

This is our third time eating at this restaurant and once again we were disappointed. They had garlic conch as a special and I decided to try it. The conch was chewy, the flavor was good but the chewiness of the conch was a turn off. The portion was very small for $28 BZ a plate. The waitress acted like she was just doing a job and barely spoke to us. My wife ordered Chicken soup which took more than 30 mins. The two star is for the soup flavor. Again the portion was small for $16 BZ. The lime juice came in two small glasses with ice that costed $6 each. Photo attached is the garlic conch. Have heard nothing but good about this restaurant but unfortunately we were disappointed with the whole venture. Took 1 hr 25 minutes to get served, the food was poorly prepared ( incorrect order, soggy onion rings, cold noodles, runny cole slaw, watered lime juice, small portions, etc). Perhaps we will try again to see if there is any improvement but we could see no reason for such delay and confusion considering the place was virtually empty at the time.. We came here three or four times in five days in Corozal Town. We had had several shrimp dishes and the chicken burrito. The latter was so good, we ordered it every time we came.
