My wife and I had lunch here today and it was really great! The menu has a lot of authentic local food as well as familiar dishes for homesick Americans. She had the stew chicken with rice and beans and I had the beef steak with rice, refried beans, and fries. Portions were generous, everything was really tasty. Service was pretty quick, although we showed up between standard meal times.
The vibe is really relaxed. The fans felt great. It’s mid-October and a hot day - we were quite comfortable sitting and eating our food. They don’t rush you out. You can go up and pay whenever you feel done. We paid in US currency and got exchange change in BZD.

We learned about Chaya here. Chaya is Belize’s spinach. Supposedly more nutritious than our regular spinach.
Bean and rice was delicious. Learned that in Belize ‘beans’ is NOT cooked in pork fat (lard)‘ like in Mexico. Making the dish vegan and vegetarian friendly. They make it using coconut oil and may contain coconut milk.
Even the refried beans’ they gave with tacos are not made in lard. It had lovely flavor of mild coconut oil.
We ordered vegetarian Nachos…yum.
Finally the sour sop juice was just the best thing to finish...

Taste: pretty good, but nothing amazing. Salbutes we're just ok. My wife had chicken, solid cooked but the beans were awful.
Service: just ok, came by maybe once after we had our order
Atmosphere: quite good, it's at the top of a hill in a neighborhood. Plenty of street parking on the road. There is nice artwork decorating the place. It's all outdoor under a patio. Plenty of fans to keep cool.
Price: on par with the rest of San Ignacio. Seee...
