As soon as I learned that there was a 2nd outpost of Brooklyn’s Sunken Harbor Club in Bermuda, where my cruise would be stopping, I made plans to visit. The bar is less whimsical themed cocktail speakeasy lounge like in NYC and more an organic nautically-designed resort bar at a stunning beach resort. That’s perfectly fine because the bar is in good hands with master mixologist Aaron, who clearly loves his work and takes pride in making some of the best drinks you’ll find anywhere in the world. I spent three hours chatting with him about milk washing, tiki cocktail culture, varieties of rum, and sampling some of his favorite off-menu concoctions, all of which were incredible. I also had the pineapple daiquiri, which was fantastic. I cannot recommend this bar highly enough. It is a must-do in Bermuda… and one of my favorite bar experiences in the 30+ countries I’ve visited.

The space is neat. Low ceilings with a marine vibe. It gets very dark during dinner service. Cocktail - Yellow Tang Tasted like bubble gum. Not really my vibe but maybe that's because I'm not a huge fan of pineapple to begin with. Charred Kale Salad -Yummy dish. Fruits were fresh and the dressing was the best part. A bit tangy and paired well with the char of the kale. Scallops - Served with a piece of quiche which I found super odd. Didn't really make sense to me not did it compliment the scallop. Scallops were cooked well and sauce was good. Octopus -Do not order. Octopus came frozen and it was not fresh at all. The flesh was mushy. And it was too salty. Duck A bit dry but seasoned well. Nothing outstanding. Came with a phyllo pastry filled with a weird flavor that I didn't particularly enjoy. Overall - I wouldn't really recommend

Very great experience at Sunken Harbor Club overall. This was a post proposal dinner, and even though two different weddings were on site the same night, Sunken Harbor Club was able to accommodate us. The fresh catch wahoo was phenomenal and drinks were large and great tasting. Only minor complaint was how long it took to get the check after being finished and plates were cleared. However, with the amount of things going on, I understand why service would be a little bit slower.

Giving 5 stars purely for the drinks and the bartender girl. She gave us a fantastic service and great cocktails. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the same standard. Portions were small, and the quality just didn’t match the price. I made a reservation for my 30th birthday, and while I wasn’t expecting anything extravagant, I was hoping for at least a small gesture to make the evening feel a bit more special. A simple “happy birthday” was all I got from the server. It felt like just another dinner, not a celebration. Great place for drinks, but if you're going for a special occasion or a full dining experience, you might leave a little...
