The Pema by Realm turned out to be the best part of the trip. The front office manager, Hem was so courteous throughout our journey. Right from booking the hotel to planning our itinerary. We didn't really know what to expect when we chose Bhutan as a holiday destination but we were simply blown away by how warm the people are. They were always ready to go out of the way to help us out, whether it was running down to the market to getting anything or helping us settle into our room. So much so that they even told us multiple times that if anything in the room was not to our liking they would change it for us. |We planned this trip around my father's birthday and honestly it was probably his best till date. The entire hotel celebrated his birthday like he was one of their own. They decorated the room and got him a chocolate cake to celebrate. Melam, did a great job in planning the celebrations and making our stay comfortable, right from checking in to ensuring our rooms were comfortable.|The food at all the restaurants in the hotel was amazing. We used to order a lot of room service if we didn't feel like going down to the restaurant to eat. They have lots of options for everyone to pick and everything tastes amazing. For me The Pema By Realm is a true home from home. I visit every year. ||The team is more than just staff working somewhere in the background. They are genuinely interested in who you are, what you think of their service and, more importantly, their stunning country. The more you engage, the more you will enjoy your stay. Lean in and you will get to know so much more about the culture than you could ever have imagined. ||Nothing pleases the team more than having guests who want to learn more about their culture and way of doing things. I love my cappuccino a certain way ... I explained how, and every morning, I got my 'tailor-made' kick-starter served perfectly - no long faces, only smiles and laughter. ||The Bistro seems to attract an amazing cross-section of fascinating Bhutanese. Some grab the most exquisite pastries, some pick up the most fantastical celebration cakes, while others simply huddle together for a cosy chat. ||Whether at the end of a busy working day or a sightseeing day, the upstairs roof bar is a great place to end your day and contemplate 'the meaning of life'. ||Cheers...
