I have no idea who Bocconcino bribed to get a 4.3 star rating on Google as of writing this. The restaurant is wholly incapable of cooking simple dishes. Twice in a row they’ve burned the bread on a Parma ham baguette (in which the ham isn’t even Parma, but that rabbit hole is just too deep for this review), they use premade dough (with anti-rise hole punctures in the outer crust for whatever reason) and have no sense of ingredient ratios on pizzas resulting in an abundance of cheese (leaking oil into the base and box) and a scarcity of other toppings (which could’ve soaked up some of that oil.) Maybe this restaurant’s seated a la carte menu is worthy of a god damn Michelin star and that explains the high google reviews, but judging by the quality of their delivered food, I am never finding out. I realize this review is harsh but I consider it a necessary counter to the large amount of glowing reviews which, for the life of me, I can’t figure out where came from.

We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant not once but four times yet during our visit to Malta, and every single meal was nothing short of perfection! The food here is a true culinary delight, with every dish crafted to perfection. The standout for us was their burger, served with homemade bread that was crunchy, flavorful, and fresh—simply the best we’ve ever had! Their pastas are equally incredible, with rich, authentic flavors that transport you straight to Italy. The chicken salad was a revelation—fresh, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. Beyond the food, the service was warm and attentive, making each visit a wonderful experience. This is hands down one of the best restaurants in Malta, and we can’t recommend it enough. If you’re looking for amazing food with an unforgettable taste, this is the place to go! Bravo to the chefs and team—you’ve gained loyal fans!

You can stop looking for the best fresh seafood restaurant and come to this place! We were so surprised to actually get the fresh caught fish and octopus, cooked lightly in white wine and sea salt just to highlight the freshness of the fish, without adding too much of the sauce and spices! Comes with the side of a nice salad and crispy well made French fries 🍟 Prices are very reasonable for this area and they also have a set menu where you can get a starter and a main dish, plus wine or beer for just €21.5! Staff members are very friendly and helpful! Coming from the pro foodie like me, I can definitely recommend this restaurant as the best food I’ve had in Malta! ♥️🇲🇹

We took a godfather burger, tuna pita and tiramisu. The portions were pretty big, but the tuna was super cold inside. I don't know if it was meant to be like that, but waiting for half an hour to get a cold sandwich was not the best experience. Tiramisu was completely frozen, so we basically just had an ice cream instead of a normal dessert. However, the burger was ok and the fries were actually quite nice. Waiters were doing their job. Not good not bad. The place was extremely crowded and noisy, and the whole atmosphere was just more like a cheap pub rather than a restaurant. I wouldn't go there again

Nostalgic place with decor that harps back to the 60s. Coupled with the music from the rat pack days, the owner is unmistakable for a gentleman from a previous good old era where life is a lot simpler. Opens early in the morning till late, you can take in the traditional fried up for breakfast and other simple sandwiches. A bit disappointed with the fried up breakfast as it wasn't hot but still it was quite tasty. Would want to revisit for dinner to try their other fares like veal, octopus and rabbit! Uber friendly staff n a cool atmosphere shd negate the cold breakfast for now. 3. 5 stars

This is one of the worst restaurant in St. Julians. We ordered two pizzas that were obviously frozen and not well cooked, ingredients were tasteless. The place is not cheap either. I spent almost 10 euros and we had to wait 25 minutes. Next time I go to a discount, which is for sure a cheaper solution, and I wouldn't lose so much time. My chair was broken, but I couldn't take another one because the tables were surprisingly full. I highly recommend to make some changes if you want to improve the quality of the kitchen. The staff was kind and waiters speak English.
