Restaurante El Marques — Restaurant in Municipio Tarija

Located in front of the main square, in one old house built in 1867 that belonged to the son of the last "Marqués de Toxo" also known as "Marqués de Yavi" Fernando Maria Campero Barragán, the house was known as La Rotonda since it has a rounded patio.

The food we ordered this time was a Lasagna and some ravioli, since Tarija is close to Argentina we assumed that they would be as good as in the neighboring country, but we were wrong, it wasn't bad, but I think there other dishes in this restaurant better than the Italian options. Nunca me había ocurrido tal falta de empatía por parte del personal pero fue todo tan malo que no pienso volver a comer en el lugar, el mesero no tenía ganas de trabajar, primero le pido una infusión y me dice que no tenían ni infusiones ni cafés, le pido unas alitas, una limonada y la contraseña del WiFi (dijo que iría a averiguarlo), trae la limonada y pasada una hora aún no llegaban las alitas ni me decía el wifi, tocaba el botón para llamar al mesero que tienen en el balcón del primer piso y nunca venía, lo toque incluso insistentemente y nada (para mi que el botón es decorativo) así que me cansé y le dije a otro mesero que era mucha la espera que ya no quería las alitas y lo dijo como si no las hubieran empezado a hacer siquiera, y la gerente estaba al lado, vino a mirar lo ocurrido ni a buscar una solución, ni siquiera dijo una palabra solo que era la gerente, el lugar era increíble cuando al menos venia el dueño, ahora ya sé que este lugar perdió muchísimo la calidad del servicio, no lo recomiendo, y una pena no tener que volver a un lugar que antes me gustaba. Lo peor es que cuando me fui le pregunto en barra a un mesero que estaba haciendo un café si había cafés y me dijo que si, fue el colmo, me fui muy molesto, el mesero y la gerente merecen el premio de "empleado del mes" el declive de El Marqués, vayan a comer al Gatto ahí si tratan bien.

Mi anterior comentario (5 estrellas): Sigo muy conforme y contento con la excelente comida que preparan, mantienen su buena atención y me da gusto que amplien su carta a carnes de parilla. Realmente muy recomendado...

I always visit this place while in Tarija. They have the best Hawaiian pizza ever! Who would have thought a restaurant in Bolivia would have the best Hawaiian pizza? I also have enjoyed the milanesa, coffee, and other things. The server has always been good. No issues. I’ll go back this visit as well. Last visit they were closed because of Covid, so I hope they will be open this month...
