My wife and I tried the fried noodles (chow mein) and the stir-fried chicken and vegetables with rice here. They were generic stir-fried stuff that you can find in the cheap Chinese eateries ubiquitous in the west. We wouldn't say the food is authentic if you're from Asia or familiar with proper Asian cuisine, but it was acceptable.
In any case, what prompted us to give a negative review here was the poor management of the restaurant.
We came here after a large tour group (20-25 people) on 29 Jan 2025. The waiter didn't warn us of the waiting time, but did tell the table that came after us that their food would take about 20 minutes to prepare.
Unfortunately, in the end, we had to wait about TWO HOURS for our two dishes to come. A long wait was understandable given the large tour group had clearly overwhelmed the staff, but what was unacceptable was that the restaurant was not honest about the waiting time to the other customers.
Furthermore, when another table that came after us complained about the waiting time, the staff adjusted the sequence of orders so that they got their food before us. This isn't a fair way of managing the orders, and if we weren't tired about our three-day tour (and had to deal with the sunk cost of having waited 1.5 hours by then), we would have simply walked out.
I guess this place only has business because of the large number of Asian tourists in Uyuni and the lack of viable competition in this small town.
The price point here is quite high for Bolivian standards (~50 BOB per dish), which would have gotten us a very nice meal in La Paz. I would also add that for some of the dishes here, we could even get them for cheaper (and far tastier) in Singapore, where we come from (and where the cost of living is...
Read moreDo NOT eat here!! We came here after a long, wonderful day at the salt flats. We noticed that the reviews here were quite high so decided to try it out. Big mistake!! If this place is highly rated, it does not say much about the other local restaurants in Uyuni... My husband ordered beef noodle soup and I ordered chicken/vegetable chow mein, thinking these would be safe options. Upon arrival, my hungry husband ate his soup (with the suspicious looking 'beef') but I didn't eat much of my chow mein. The vegetables were sparing, just some greasy pepper and onion. The chicken looked quite pink so I avoided this, and the noodles were so oily that it was quite unappealing to eat. And I eat most things usually! We should have went to the bathroom first, as when we tried that afterwards, we noted that not only would the toilet not flush as it was not plumbed in, the sink had no running water to wash our hands! So if the customers could not wash their hands after using the toilet, then I dread to think what the kitchen was like. We had joked about being unwell after a meal like that, but we did not expect my poor husband to have diarrhoea for a WEEK!!! He was agony the day after eating here, we had to spend another day in Uyuni to try to recover before 2 horrendous bus journeys to our next destination. Our trip was certainly spoiled by this experience and this restaurant should absolutely not be allowed to be open!! AVOID!! Stay...

EDIT: the owner changed the replies on both myself and my partners review to remove their obviously false claims about the non existence of the dish we ordered and instead to claim it was just altitude sickness. We had been staying at high altitude for two weeks prior to visiting the restaurant with no issues, it was very obvious food poisoning symptoms.
I don't post reviews often and wasn't intending to this time, but my partner and I both ate at LONG MEN on the evening of 9/10/25, we ordered the 'Garlic Chili Oil Noodles', 'Braised Tofu', and one small portion of rice. This was the only meal we ate that day other than a small breakfast much earlier, and we both had some of the most severe food poisoning symptoms of our lives starting a few hours after eating at LONG MEN that are still continuing now.
My partner already posted a scathing review and usually I would leave it at that if the owner didn't respond or apologised, but the owner replied claiming that we never ate there and that the 'Garlic Chili Oil Noodles' dish (clearly labelled as dish B-1 in multiple menu photos posted by others)...
