Rotkvica — Restaurant in Banja Luka

I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ENOUGH! I was looking for a place where I could have avocado on toast and I was super pleased to come across Rotkvica. Not only did I enjoy this amazing dish, but to my surprise, the owner came to greet us and speaks English, which makes things much smoother around here :) She is really nice and welcoming. The menu is also in English and offers a variety of rich dishes, very recommendable if you want to break away from the traditional cevapi. We are so happy that we had the opportunity to visit Rotkvica and to meet lovely owner Slavica who greeted us and made a night to remember. Food is perfect, we could feel every single ingredient while tasting it. Fish and chips, Rizoto Mr. Fong and cheesecake accompanied with the right wine which Slavica recommended will make us come here every single time we are in Banja Luka. And that is the beauty of Rotkvica, owner that is around making sure we are all set, her personality, and interesting stories about her life with tasty food and wine. Firstly I very seldom write a Restaurant review but feel absolutely motivated after a delightful dinner this evening. We are two Australians travelling through Europe on route to race bicycles in Sarajevo who by chance found this Restaurant. Wonderful food, quality, value only in question because we thought it was too cheap. Combine this with delicious wine by the glass and the host having much experience in New York Restaurant scene. A bonus to meet her. 5 stars without hesitation....
