We went to eat there today during a really hot day. Luckily, we went there by foot, as there was some kind of chain around the parking lot. I overheard later some guests asking if they could remove it, and they were given permission to do so. It's a bit strange, but ok.
The ambient was really nice, we were shaded very well and the stone/wood combo suited it nicely. I liked how it wasn't overcrowded. Even kids were treated very well.
The lady that was serving us was kind of reserved, to say the least. I made a mistake of mentioning how we always wanted to come here, but only managed to visit Chinese Restauran at Stup. After that, she repeated at least 5 times that they have nothing in common. Also, she kind of pressured me into saying from where I heard about them, who said what, etc. It's kind of a strange experience, and writing it just to warn you not to mention other Chinese restaurants and your Chinese cooking skills (as I got comments on that, too 😁).
Anyways, the food was great. Honestly, it was awesome. Chicken special noodles were great, and me being a big guy, I could use a few more bites - but my God, they did not skimp on chicken and sauce. This meal alone is enough to come back again to this restaurant forever.
We also tried orange chicken and rice. Holly molly, the portions were insane. We only bought rice because we thought chicken alone would not be enough, but mark my advice it would. Both meals were 15 KM, or 7.5 euros, which is fair.
We had a Chinese tee and Orangina for drinks. Honestly, I can see the appeal for some - but not for me. Tea was too sweet and kind of overwhelming, and orangina was similar to the old Bosnian "Mirinda" drink, which isn't being sold nowadays. And they were really expensive, like 7 KM or 3.5euros for one. I would suggest taking something else for drinks.
All in all, we are coming here again for sure. Probably soon. And I recommend you...
Read moreThe staff were really nice and still served us despite showing up near the end of their opening times. The food was really good, although I think the spice level has been adjusted for local tastes, as it wasn't as spicy as I'm used to from Chinese restaurants in other countries. We went twice and had the gong bao chicken and the szechuan beef the first time, and the iron plate beef and the mongolian beef with a side of dumplings and rice the second time. Especially the beef was really good, we really enjoyed our picks the second time we went. The dishes didn't come with a carb per sé, so I'd recommend getting a side of rice or noodles with it. It's a bit more expensive than food is generally in Sarajevo, but it's still a good price. The location itself is quaint and has nice seating, it wasn't busy.
Also everything is halal! So if you're a muslim traveller from a non-muslim country, this is a good place to try some halal chinese food, as it can often be hard to find.
All in all, it's a wholesome family restaurant that I would visit again the next time I...

My husband and I had a fantastic experience at this Chinese restaurant in Sarajevo, where the food is prepared by genuine Chinese chefs. Having lived in London and with my husband having worked in Wuxi, China, for four years, we are quite familiar with Chinese cuisine, and this restaurant truly delivered. The hand-made noodles were superb, and the vegetable and beef dumplings were perfectly cooked. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his steak with green peppers.
The restaurant had a vibrant atmosphere, filled with both Chinese tourists and local diners. What truly floored me was the exceptional customer service provided by Alma, our hostess/waitress. Not only was she incredibly warm and attentive, but she also spoke Chinese fluently, which added an extra layer of authenticity to our experience.
If you're in Sarajevo and craving authentic Chinese food, this restaurant is a must! Highly recommended for both its delicious dishes and...
