Good food, bad service. There was only one waiter serving the entire restaurant at 7 PM, during rush hour. When we arrived, they avoided eye contact, passing in front of us, not even welcoming, like they were upset that we were there. After waiting, standing at the door, finally we needed to go to bar to ask for our table, they directed us to one side of the restaurant, saying "pick one of these tables and sit". Our reservation was for 4 people and most of the tables they told us to sit was for 2. I am not sure if they even checked the reservation details. During the dinner one of the cocktail glasses suddenly broke on its own, spilling the whole drink. The staff came and cleaned it up but did not offer a replacement. We waited 1 hour dor our food to arrive, completely unacceptable for any restaurant.l, since there is only one waiter for the whole restaurant on a Saturday evening I assume there is one one cheff. The waiter was very friendly and applolgetic though. We had to get up few times during our dinner and go find him to ask for something, like salt and peper and oil that was missing from the table. The food was hit or miss, two people were very happy with their meal and the rest were not. I ordered Parmigana that is usualy served hot in the dish, but got 5 or 6 peices of cold cut Parmigana, and waited for that 1 hour. Read moreGodinama sam vodila porodični restoran, stvarala gastro-projekte koji mirišu na dom i diplomatiju. Zato i tanjirima prilazim kao i knjigama, s poštovanjem, ali i oštrim okom. I mirne duše kažem: BRIX nije samo odličan restoran. BRIX zna šta radi. Nadam se da će tako i ostati u narednom periodu, jer Sarajevu fale baš ovakvá mjesta.
Ambijent: urban, odmjeren, a opet topao kao da ste došli kod nekog ko zna šta je stil, ali ne glumi Pariz. Osoblje? Osmijeh, pogled, mjera. Timski duh se osjeti, u pogledu između zaposlenih, u načinu na koji vlasnica obiđe svaki sto kao da ga je ona postavila. Ali i u nježnosti glavne kuharice: "Blitva i krompir su gotovi, hajde bona i lignje da ti napravim?" E takve stvari otkrivaju pozadinu odnosa između nadređenog i onog koji stvara.
Tanjir nije prenapadan. Nije ni folklor radi turista. BRIX kuha dušom, ali čisto. S okusom, ali bez kiča. Zna da su najbolja tradicionalna jela ona koja čuvaju sebe, ne igraju se previše, ali i ne dosade. Tu su i internacionalne selekcije jela.
I ono što je možda najvažnije: ovdje je higijena princip. Pedantnost od vrata do kuhinje. To se ne lažira, to ili imaš ili nemaš.
BRIX ima. Ima i više nego što Sarajevo danas nudi na svakom koraku.
