I have been to Megi so many times and it was always ok and fair. I made a reservation yesterday for last night specifically asking to be seated outside due to COVID-19. When we arrived, waiter told us our table is inside. We said that we booked a table outside. He insisted that although there is place outside we sit inside because it is going to rain (weathercast showed 0% of chance to rain). We said that we do not feel comfortable sitting inside and that we would like our table as we said - outside. He said that his boss gave him these instructions because the tables are not well protected from the rain. We said that we would like to sit outside on our own responsibility, and that if it starts raining we will leave (pay for our food and take it if necessary). Megi has been my favorite restaurant in Mostar since 2006 – and it has never lost its charm. The salads are outstanding (especially the Greek salad and the beef strip salad), and the house pizza bread is unique: thin, crispy, with herbs, a hint of tomato, and olive oil.

Some old favorites (like breaded fried mushrooms or oven-baked vegetables) are gone, but the classics remain: the Americano filet steak, excellent carpaccio, pizza, and pasta. Service is always friendly and professional – even the staff uniforms show the current focus (Paulaner Helles on tap, whereas they used to serve Laško Pivo).

Recommended by a local during holidays and I must admit that it is the best restaurant I found in the area. Excellent food and service. I had caprese salad and grilled squids, both delicious. I specially loved the grilled veggies accompanying the squids and the side focaccia which is served with the salads. Note that the menu keeps variating and the ones on internet are not fully updated, although the changes are minimal. Nonetheless, as I heard, the quality is always the same (excellent!).
