Gallery HUB (note that the full name is 'The Hub of Fine Arts') is a must see place in Mostar, featuring a beautiful collection of paintings and sculptures worthy of a tourism gem like Herzegovina! Once inside, you will feel like you are in London or Rome and the art will amaze you and restore your energy. Do visit and enjoy! Jelena gives a great tour. You cannot take photos but you can scan the QR codes to get more information on the exhibits. Update, June 2023: Visited again, enjoyed again. Ticket BAM 20 (BAM 10 for locals).

Место, которое, пожалуй, ожидаешь увидеть в Мостаре, балканской провинции, меньше всего. Тем не менее этот отличный (и столичный по духу) музей – одно из самых ярких впечатлений от города, возможно как раз на контрасте. Современно обставленная, со вкусом и любовью подобранная, хоть и довольно небольшая экспозиция. Ходишь по коридору с приглушённым светом и получаешь огромное эстетическое удовольствие. Наряду с Дега, Матиссом и Модильяни, представлены и советские авангардисты: Экстер, Родченко, Богомазов. Ввиду камерности цена за билет в 10 евро может показаться кусачей, но есть скидки студентам и пенсионерам. Очень приветливые сотрудники. Можно фотографировать.

Потрясающий музей! Здесь представлена частная коллекция искусства 20 века. Работница музея рассказала, что всего в коллекции более 3000 предметов, экспонаты постоянно меняются, чтобы гости могли увидеть разные картины. Очень интимные залы: темное помещение с яркой подсветкой экспонатов, в залах ненавязчивые ароматические композиции и тихая музыка. Есть работы как очень знаменитых художников (Дега, Модильяни и пр.), так и менее громких, но прекрасных имён. Фотографировать в музее запрещено, вход 20 марок, сотрудницы могут проконсультировать по экспонатам, также есть qr коды с информацией о работах.

After hearing great reviews and getting an invitation, we went to see the setting at The HUB of Fine Arts. Warmly welcomed by curator Daniela, we set off on a tour. The perfectly lit gallery and expert curator were more than enough to display the esteemed gallery items to the highest standards. We took the time to browse the exhibits, enjoying the pleasant background music guided by the pleasant voice of the curator. All recommendations for staff and gallery setup.

The HUB is a beautiful, atmospheric and rather unorthodox gallery. You can access descriptions/ explanations of each painting on an electronic tablet for an extra cost, which I highly recommend!
