Nando's Francistown Galo — Restaurant in North-East District

On the 26 April 2024, I traveled with my brother to Ftown from Gaborone arriving between 9 and 10 pm. We wanted something to eat and decided on Nando's. We ordered a meal, takeaway. While waiting for meal, requested for a bathroom and was told to go use public bathrooms. I didn't have a problem with that, I asked for directions and went there only to find the bathrooms were now closed for the night. I went back to Nandos and told the cashier who helped us that the place was closed. She pointed to a door that was marked staff only for me to go relieve myself there. When I was about to enter one gentlemen staff member told me i could go there and to use the public toilets, to which I told him were closed. I begged to use the staff bathrooms and he just gazed at me with a Don't dare look. I told him I had ordered a meal and was waiting for my order. He insisted I could not use the toilet. I gave up, waited for my meal meal pressed, wondering on the kind of service I was receiving, where the only interest was my money. If wasn't late, and not hungry, I definitely would have requested my money back, and go somewhere whether I was equally as valuable as my money, where even on going out I would see till be a customer. I am amazed at the revamp in service training within the past year at both Nandos in Francistown. The staff seems to have been retrained and hit every mark for a western dining experience. Friendly greeting but not overly overwhelming, patient, immediately brings drinks, helpful with menu items, two-minute check to see if the food tastes good, attentive, polite and preps the bill for a quick but unrushed dining experience.
