Fantastic Dining Experience at Neo Restaurant
Last night, we had the pleasure of dining at Neo Restaurant, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of spectacular. The meal kicked off with an incredibly tender and flavorful octopus, which was followed by a uniquely delicious lemon and leek risotto. Each dish was perfectly seasoned and left us eager for the next.
For the main course, we opted for the ‘Moqueca de Peixe’, a traditional fish stew that was rich and aromatic, paired beautifully with a crisp white wine that complemented the flavors superbly. The cocktails were also a highlight, particularly the caipirinhas, which were refreshingly authentic.
We concluded our meal with a chocolate volcano dessert that was decadently smooth and just the right amount of sweet. It was the perfect end to our culinary journey.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was welcoming, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. It’s a gem that I highly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional meal that combines traditional and innovative...
Read moreRead moreMedium quality seafood, small portions, above average price. Casual atmosphere with open air seating. Bad service. The grilled seafood plate for 2 (R$179) included some dry/overcooked fish, but the squid and shrimp were tasty. Portion was rather small and full of shrimp heads. French fries were generous, vegetables over-seasoned with garlic. Substantial waiting time (30min) without compensation. Our waiter was attentive, but unfriendly. Over a brief conversation he had us know that he is from “Argentina, which is the greatest country in the world. That Beach life in buzios was good, but Brazilians lacked education”. We found this highly insulting. A frustrating experience overall. I do...
Not great. Definitely not a 5 star restaurant and maybe more like a 3 star experience. I was being generous with the 4 stars. Picanha was overcooked and over salted. Only one red wine by the glass on the menu and it was so bad I had to return it. The waiter was very nice, but was more attentive to getting passerbys to come in than to his existing customers (we waited even after we got his attention). And, here's something that bugs me - the condiments are not only in the cheap tear off packets, but they're the cheap knock off brands. They don't even have the good Hellman or Heinz tear off packets. Maybe a small thing, but the knock off brand stuff...
